Yea and I thinking need to move it to where it can get some airflow.

Braineack 05-29-2012 10:02 AM

the best place to put the bung is directly before the cat.

I just used the stock greddy location so I still have the weld in bung.

IIRC the stock Greddy location is WAY too close for the sensor.

I had 3" test pipe made with a bung in it for my LCI, but also have a secondary bung capped off in the downpipe for dyno testing.

Yea i think it is fairly close, I'll have it welded in pre cat today or tommorow.

And come with a warranty for when they blow out. Best bang for the buck ever.

I wouldn't go that far.

redturbomiata 05-29-2012 10:42 AM

I might even had him keep that suspension and put stock back on, work that in to negotiations. But the hardtop is a huge bonus.

Braineack 05-29-2012 10:44 AM

id rather have racelands than blown stock.

I think the stock ones he had were still good.

Braineack 05-29-2012 11:07 AM

doubtful. still rather have racelands.

They're $200 coilovers. How can you go wrong?

:jerkit: Don't knock it until you've tried it. TSE's Rover was on those for a bit. Put down some impressive lap times.

Braineack 05-29-2012 12:04 PM

I've driven on them, they are the worse handling shocks I've ever driven on. There's almost a noticable delay in turning the steering wheel and when the car reacts due to the piss poor low-speed damping of them. But again, they are very comfortable.

redturbomiata 05-29-2012 12:35 PM

Brain just read the heat sink instructions, does it have to be cooper or can I use some sheet aluminum.

rleete 05-29-2012 12:37 PM

Copper. Brass will work, too. Aluminum will corrode.

Edit: buy some thicker shim stock. Auto parts store may have it.

Braineack 05-29-2012 12:45 PM

why will the aluminum corrode? I've had the same flimsy ass 18g one on my car for like 6 years now.
