^Keep a can of air nearby.

Our new cat keeps scraping at the bottom of my door at night and wont stop. He's not afraid of anything and I'm tired of waking up at zero dark thirty to the sound of scraping and the bell on his collar.

Fox News viewers less informed about current events than those who don’t watch news at all, study finds

From the article in question:

"Those surveyed also struggled with current events closer to home. Just 47% were able to identify the Occupy Wall Street protesters as predominantly Democratic, while 11% thought they were Republican. Here it was MSNBC viewers who got it wrong the most - watching the left-leaning network was linked to a 10-point increase in the likelihood of misidentifying the demonstrators."

It is funny that the title of the article wasn't "MSNBC Viewers Abysmally Unaware of Occupy Wall Street" or something a bit less slanted. Apparently the FNN viewers were less likely to know answers to two questions about Syria and Egypt and that was somehow a more important headline to Ms. Hartenstein, the writer of the article or to her boss, Mr. Zuckerman. No bias there.

Edit: And for the record, I don't watch or even like Fox News Channel. I just think the article and your reaction to it were both weak.

How many of you are aware that the JFK airtrain, which runs not only around JFK airport but also throughout Queens and into both the Jamaica-Sutphin subway / LIRR station and the Rockaway-Howard Beach station, is completely automated? No driver, no conductor.

As an engineer who deals with complex process control software every day, that really freaks me out.

The title of the article made me laugh. I didn't bother reading it. Bill Clinton was on tv.

I have a meeting with a client today at 1:30 and I have no voice!

Started feeling sick last night and woke up this morning with hardly any voice. I've been up on the ladder painting all morning so at least I've been outside in the fresh air, but **** I dont want to go see this lady this afternoon.

Looks like the military shots you get at boot camp start wearing off after awhile. I havent been "sick" in almost 10 years now. At least that I can remember.

Well I wasn't really IN any branch, but I joined the Marines and was at parris island for maybe 3-4 weeks. I was sent home with a honorable discharge for my nerve damage in my arm. I was devastated at the time, but since then I've learned it was a blessing in disguise.

I went to my meeting anyways at 1:30 and got another $2500 worth of antiques to work on!! This lady has a basement so full of items that it could put good sized consignment shops to shame. Thankfully she considers me her personal seller for everything she has. CT is good for something after all! lol

Cool, my brother is at the island now. I like to joke that he's on "island time" during his 90 day payed vacation. He's been there since the Tuesday before last and he graduates February 10th, then I go. He's doing pretty well (just got 4 letters today) b/c his platoon is strong and acting as a team. I think today is his first day with the pugil sticks, which he will enjoy.

Awesome of video of my Dad peddling the Mini for a few laps. Storms in about 0:48. Not enough tire or HP/aero to run with the front runners for long though. Goes through a quart a race

Makes me proud.

This is why old people shouldn't be allowed to use the Internet.

Also, GM apparently just built their 100 millionth small block engine, it's an LS9 and its going in a friggin museum.
