Researching OS's for netbooks...has anyone used custom XP builds like MicroXP?

As you might expect, it's XP but stripped of just about every unnecessary/extraneous feature. Supposed to be the shit for maximum gaming performance or for netbooks.

I've used a few, back in the day. Been a while, but from what I remember they were buggy. Sometimes they removed some important stuff that some programs need.

Any reason why you want XP instead of say, Linux?

Needs to run AEM Pro and AEM Log.

I played with XPLite a while back. Turned out to be a lot of hassle for not much gain.

The big advantages seemed to be decreased footprint and slightly faster boot times, but once the OS is up and running, they're not doing anything you can't do yourself in the Services panel.
