If you get the SS line that goes from the connection about 6" below the hood all the way to the slave, it passes the coolant reroutes easily and eliminates screwing with all the brackets when you pull the trans.

Quick question, whats the order of the spark wires? I lost my manual and I have found two configuration for the wires. From m.net is (passanger to driver side) 4123 and from another site 3214. I was able to start the car on the second configuration but something doesnt feel right. The car is a 95

On a '94-'00 car, as you are standing in front of the car looking back towards the engine, the 1&4 plugs connect to the left coil, and the 2&3 plugs connect to the right coil.
Attachment 240972 1.6 cars are reversed from this. If your '95 is running with the wires in the opposite order, perhaps you have the primary-side wiring reversed also? (Shouldn't matter.) Key point is that 1&4 need to be together on one coil, and 2&3 together on the other coil. If you have any variant of this pairing, and the engine runs at all, then you have them wired "correctly". |

I'd like to eventually get that. Is the one that Goodwin sells the one that you described? |
Is putting a miata head in my dishwasher to clean it going to hurt the valve guides? Also, are the valve guides replaceable in the BP head...
edit: Nm about the replaceable valve guides... found a shit load of them for sale. But can I still do the dishwasher thing with this... |
I did that once, guides still look ok to me. Give it a light wd40 coat when done to stop corrosion on the seats etc.

I am hopefully going to produce one hell of a head, I would love to use a 99' head for this, but all I have is a 94' at my disposal. |

Why is "new" car shopping so difficult. I never find anything that really catches my eye. I need something more practical and comfy for a daily driver, but I don't want something boring either. Everything I find is either dull or too old, and if I do like it, it's well out of my price range. I guess I will have to hold out and keep an eye open.
