A bolt in that hole does a lot to help stiffen the chassis, without it, the bottom and top of the car are not tied together. I was a stupid fuck when I installed mine, and ignored that hole until last, and then realized my bars were about 1'' forward, and the holes didn't line up...

Anybody ever forget a number at random? I was grocery shopping the other day and the time came to pay. Swiped my card and went to enter my pin #..... uhhh..... shit. I tried 4 or 5 numbers, none of which worked. By that time I could no longer use the credit option, since my banks policy disables that function for the rest of the day if you enter the pin incorrectly. Had to reapply for a new pin, and wait for up to 10 days to get it. I blame my new job and all of the new numbers and names I'm trying to remember.

It's muscle memory, you just need to try it without thinking and it usually just happens... I never actually think of the numbers when I do it... my fingers just move.
But yes I have totally forgotten numbers I should easily remember... like all the time. But then I'll remember the dumbest numbers forever.. like my sister's friend's phone number. I saw it once and it will not leave my head, or the WEP key for my mom's router from like 6 years ago. |
I can't remember basic motor functions.

A few years ago I'm over at Abe's house. A few other people are also there. Someone's GF asks (to nobody in particular) what the key is for the WiFi, and Abe's roommate rattles off the whole thing, from memory, in hexadecimal. Now, I'm pretty stoked about the fact that I can remember my Visa card number including the CVN, but that's just ridiculous. Granted, there was a time when I could recite the activation code for my copy of Win95. I think it was 23495-OEM-0002991-27725, but I'm not 100% sure anymore. |
Note that by 1959, “Kaiser” had become an acceptable brand name.
Look for “Fuhrer” brand compact fluorescent bulbs by 2020. Fuhrer- Lighting the way! |
Uh, hate to ruin a good joke, Joe, but Kaiser was named after Henry Kaiser, the guy who built Liberty ships in WWII. Was originally Kaiser-Fraiser (Frasier of Fraiser-Nash fame), and Frasier got booted/left depending on who tells the story.

And, the reason I know any of the above is because my dad had an affinity for odd cars. He had a 1954 Kaiser Manhattan (a real tank) that burned up in the garage when I was 5 or 6. Dad managed to get it out before it burned the house down, and staying up to the wee hours to watch the firemen was real excitement.
He's also owned cars by Fraiser (a "Standard") Nash ("Ambassador") Studebaker (both a '62 Lark sedan and a wagon, and a '64 Avanti). He still owns the Avanti. |

Just a few days ago while I was just sitting around, for no reason, a phone number from a house I lived in 10-15 years ago popped into my head. No idea where it came from, I wasn't even thinking about numbers, phone numbers, that house, ect. |

Edit: Dammit, does this count as having invoked Godwin's Law? |

I did have it "stored" in muscle memory, I could just punch it in. I think it's a government conspiracy. Clearly some secret group broke in and wiped my memory of that piece of info.
