How (and why) to Ramble on your goat sideways

Unbolt the cover from the airbag assembly, and glue it to the dash. There is enough adhession area that if you are careful you will not have glue pushing out around it for a nice stock appearance. It worked great on my car. Looks stock.
If you are making another glove box with that area, maybe you could make a hinged door with the existing cover. That would be pretty cool.
Hell, I need to write that **** down for future awesomeness.

In an attempt to save weight I gutted the passanger air bag.

And you run, and you run
To catch up with the sun
But it's sinking
Racing around,
to come up behind you again
The sun is the same, in a relative way
But you're older.
Shorter of breath, and one day
closer to death.
Epic.

Life’s kinda getting out of control… I think. I don’t know if you agree. What it is, I know you’ve heard the word a thousand times, it’s a ratrace. You know? I went through the contortions of hell. I have alcoholic siezures. Wind up in the hospital and everything else. Now I’m sick, I’m shaking… like a leaf. ‘Twas like silly putty, and they threw him in the car and beat him t… in, in the paddy wagon, and beat him to death. I hit one of those, and I knocked the front wheel off into outer space, and I kinda got angry at myself and I said, “Heh heh…. have a lot of guns.” I like salad. I just ate a nice salad. Baked potato. Some cream cheese. And chives. You know, I just… I like to eat a salad. Why? D’ya have something in mind? Heheheheh….
If anyone knows where that came from WITHOUT GOOGLING I'll be impressed.

Happened to see the "new" Star Wars IV bar scene. The modified "no, really, Greedo shot first" hack photoshop job has to be the worst I've ever seen on film, and I've seen plenty of B movies. Seriously, WTF was he thinking? It's like George Lucas hired some brand-new Taiwanese film house to insert what appears to be two completely dissimilar frames, with a blaster streak Photoshopped in with the "smudge" tool.
And all those gratuitous CGI insertions of "random weird looking animals" didn't help at all, either.

Holy ****, people ask retarded prices for Miatas here; a while ago I saw someone asking 10k for a regular, stock '99 with like 110k miles on it. I look occasionally if I'm bored and I notice people will want like 5 or 6k for a SNC with high miles.
Holy god, and they all have ugly-*** rims on them.

Getting frustrated with cell phones. I just bought a new HTC Aria (60 bucks, rebates) and right out of the box the speaker is not fully functioning. It makes call but, they go silent instantly. So that is kind of a big deal since I need a phone. Everything else is great though. It's my first Android phone.
So I wake up this morning to call the store and have a replacement sent to me. They ask what is wrong with the phone and I tell them the story. They say no bid deal, but ask if there is any physical damage. To my dismay my father just so happened to drop my phone(from less than 2 feet up) and the bottom right corner has a small crack. Mind you every thing still works.
They say I can no longer get a replacement because of the physical damage. I ask why? I can't use the phone to make calls! The damage has nothing to do with the p.o.s. phone not working as soon as I took it out of the box. They say sorry, have a nice day and enjoy the didlo we just shoved in your ***.
I'm usually pretty calm about this stuff. But, come on. My old phone...I miss it so. I had an LG Shine 2 and that thing was sooooo ******* awesome. I had it for 2 years. Dropped it, used while turning wrenches on the car, got it covered in oil, used it in the shower(no joke), dropped it again, took the screen off to use the LEDs as a make shift flash light, took sweet videos of me banging easy cubans girls, etc... I can't believe that it finally died. I was boozing pretty hard one night and my friends where calling my truck a ***** truck. It's a 2.4 Frontier, 01 5spd. I love that truck. So I decided to show them that my truck had ***** of brass. I did this by doing clutch dumps and donuts in the street.
To my utter dismay....my phone flew out the window....unknowing to my person. I ran over the phone....so sad.
But that phone still worked. For 3 more months! I couldn't believe it, 3 more months of continuous abuse from me and it never missed a beat. However, after the screen started to go, I decided to upgrade my service and "invest" in a new phone. Bad idea. The new phones are so low class. Sure they can do anything that the computer i'm typing on can do, but they are utterly fragile and it is such a disapoinment.
So for my next phone I decided to go all out. Rugby 2. Perfect for my needs. I am constantly working on my car, going kayaking and doing all sorts of things. Worrying about my phone should be the last thing on my mind. Hopefully I will have better luck with this one.
Well thats all I have to say about this situation. Have a good day, hope all is well.

This is why I still use my "dumb phone", a 3 year old Sony Erricson Walkman slider phone. It works, poorly, but it works. I know as soon as I spend $200 on a new phone I will not be pleased with it, and some **** like that ^ will happen and I will be furious.

I'm thinking about buying a bike as a secondary vehicle, something to drive to work when it's nice weather, and something to back up the Miata when I know it will be down for maintenance or tinkering. Haven't driven bikes on the road much, and my limited experience is with dirt bikes, 10+ years ago. I was thinking a 2008 Ninja 250R, something cheap, small, fuel efficient (60-65mpg) and still fun and nice looking. I was also thinking a dual sport bike of some kind, but I'd rather just have a smaller, lower powered sport bike. Plus since I would be "learning" I don't really want to trust myself with a 600, or anything that I can do stupid **** on. Though I guess any bike you can do stupid **** on really.

Dual sports are great too especially in traffic. Not comfortable for long trips. I had a drz400s for awhile. Good bike. Sucked on the moto-x track. Great on street and trails.

This.
My last bike was an '06 SV650, and as a daily commuter it is absolutely amazing. Simple, inexpensive, reasonably lightweight, comfortable riding position, stock brakes and suspension are decent, good low-down torque, I just can't say enough happy things about it.

SV650 is both well out of my price range, and for me, a bit too much bike. The 250R is more like a dual sport bike in sport bike clothes, if that makes any sense. I can get a 2008 model 250R from the dealer for $3500. I also like having a new or almost new bike, prefer not to go older than 2 years, or 10k miles.
On second though, I am finding them used for $3500-$4000, for '05 and '06 models. I might could swing that. I have been eyeballing the SV650's, but never looked into the prices. I figured they were going for more. Surprised the bike is bigger in size and displacement, yet the dry weight is still the same as the 250R.
