So my GF's MSM has developed an exhaust leak....due to a failed manifold gasket. Meaning I need to pull the whole fucking turbo off to replace a $12 part. So I called a local, well-known, shop to get a price on doing the work. They came back with $425. Yeeesh. So I also asked them about doing a timing belt service on her car as well....to wheich they sang a tune of $810 (also stating the the MSM is extra because it has "etra stuff that needs to be moved and worked on"). Not spending $1250+ on all that.

Looks like I'll be spending an entire weekend on her car.
