Not having diagnosed the problem.
A quick Google search on ATT 2Wire produced a fair amount of discussion on the device, much of it in the form of "This device sucks and I would like to hurl it out of a very high window" or similar. What is the nature of your loss of connectivity? Does the PC report that the connection to the router has been lost, or do you simply stop getting data throughput? Have you tried connecting to the device with a cable rather than via WiFi? It disconnects randomly and just says "no internet connection" or "the connection to the server has been lost", something along those lines. Who knows, when I go to submit this post it very well might give me the message. I wired it up directly for her and she said it wasn't saying the "connection lost" messages anymore, but it would just stop loading the data. This as well was happening at random. Wireless or wired, it doesn't happen all the time and doesn't seem to have any rhyme or reason behind it.

No reason to not switch.
It's gotta be the router. I had issues like that with my old WalMart special Belkin router that cost me all of $20 like 6 years ago, I finally upgraded to a good Cisco/Linksys Linksys WRT54GL wired/wireless router and have had no issues since. I was actually blaming my issues on Charter for all of those years, when it was more in fact my cheap router. Plus this new router has many more options and security, not to mention good range on wireless with the double antenna. I've been cussing out AT&T every time I'm here and have to use the computer. I couldn't imagine having to do my work off this thing and have it lose internet every 5 minutes. I already told her I was borderline ready to throw the computer out the fucking window. lol I'm going to do some reading up on all of this and maybe switch over to a Linksys wireless G/N router. Part of her christmas presents is one of those Panasonic IP cameras so she can check on the dogs from work. So I want to make sure I have all this internet bs figured out and working by then. |

Ask seller a question: I don't see the fleshlight pictured...is it also used? If so, has it been boiled clean? |

Question on the namebench and DNS topic- If I am using a laptop and wireless card while on the road, is there a benefit to changing this setting or is it always changing on its own as it reconnects every time I am in a different cell tower service area?
Benefits? Pitfalls? Thanks. |

Damn me for being indecisive. I can't decide if my next camera will be the D90 or the D7000. The D7000 is a good bit more camera than the slightly older D90 which it replaces (sort of), but it's also $500 more cost for a few professional features I probably wouldn't miss. The D7000 is just so much faster, has a better AF, 2 card slots, bunch more menu features, ect.
