I personally would choose "alive".
Was this a question on the application for a mortician's job?

I'm puzzled by this.

Having lived in both NYC and Chicago, I personally saw a lot more rats in Manhattan than I do here in Chicago. Subway rats, street rats, rats tied up into bouquets and hanging by their tails, etc.

I've seen maybe a half-dozen in total the whole time I've lived in Chicago, and always underground.

Would any of you guys have access to an R34 GTR?

I need some specific frame dimensions.

Converting a rwd R33 into a 4wd R34 GT-R, moving all the fiddly bits like the steering wheel, pedals, etc to the proper side (rhd to lhd drive) in the process, and finding over 800 ponies to volunteer for duty under the hood.

I got food poisoning last week and couldn't join my fiance to visit her parents in Florida, then while she was gone the AC broke over the weekend. Talk about a bummer.

Thankfully it wasn't too expensive to have fixed and she had a great time in Florida.

What would cause a gravity fed mower to starve fuel when it gets hot? I've tried gutting the fuel cutoff, even replaced the entire carb including the fuel cutoff solenoid. It's not the gas cap breather or any of the plumbing either. It runs for 1/2 hr, and then just sucks the fuel line dry & dies.

Is the gas cap vented?

Cap is vented, and the vent is working fine. Taking the cap completely off doesn't make any difference.

Fine particles gradually clogging up the inlet screen on the fuel tank pick up?

I've hesitated to post this, because it seems so obvious that it must be wrong, but... this is pretty much the textbook example of vapor lock.

Wrap heat-reflective, insulating material around the fuel line, maybe?

Is there actually gas in it? I just want to check the obvious.

Might be time to add a MS, because carbs are voodoo.

Vapor lock is where my head is at. Being an air cooled engine with a bunch of shields, I'm wondering if I have a giant mouse nest or similar & the damn thing is just overheating.

The Miata won't start, and I find it really hard to care.

25th wedding anniversary today. I got steak, scallops and corn on the cob for dinner, with a blueberry pie for dessert.

This just in: Turns out my frame rails are rusted.

22 year old car + humid Istanbul weather = iron oxide.

I discovered this while stripping my car down to the shell for a comprehensive paint job. It will be gone over with a fine tooth comb, all rust - surface and otherwise - will be eliminated, the whole thing will be painted inside and out. The car will be ceramic coated once the paint sets, followed by clear protective wrap for good measure.

I have the frame repair panels ready, I had made an extra set while I was doing the same job on a friend's black '03 a while back.
My only consolation is mine are not as bad.

And, before suggesting I should keep the drivetrain and just buy another Miata, please remember these cars are very rare over here, and a stock Miata in decent condition goes for about $20K.

Details to follow in a dedicated thread.
