I dunno why the front suspension on a 911 is strut -- they make it perform really well despite that though!

It is technically true, but completely ignores the competence and skill with which any given technology is implemented.

We have a '13 Outback and the thing has an oil consumption problem since new.
All the newer engines that use 0W20 from Subaru have this problem, and they claim it is "within spec"
We like everything about the car except the engine. I don't like adding 2 quarts between oil changes.
We won't buy another Subaru.

I understand that it is hit or miss if they burn or do not burn.

I'd probably go for the Kia over the Outback.......but the upper-spec level of both cars is $10k apart!

Magnitude 5.8 earthquake in Istanbul.
No property damage, no injuries, no fatalities.
Schools are closed.
News channels dumped everything else, nothing but street interviews with panicked idiots on TV.
Phones were useless for about an hour.
All this for a five point eight.
Maynard James Keenan should get on live TV and whisper "learn to swim" to the mic. This is the perfect place for that song.

0w 20 motor oil is only for the Federal CAFE standards and will lead to the premature death of your engine. Use a proper viscosity oil and your engine won't wear as much and won't use as much because it won't wear as much.

Wife's requirements are:
AWD
Heated leather seats
Excellent visibility
<$35k
You'd think it would be easy, right? Nope. Hates everything she's sat in.
The kia is the 2.0T "limited" with the potato engine and bells/whistles. They have a 2018 they couldn't unload, and it's been knocked down from $40k to $32k.

I know they use 0w20 to hit MPG targets, but other manufacturers using the same weight don't have the same consumption problems.
I think it's more to do with the shitty 2.5L engine than anything else.
I've been running 0w40 in the Miata for 6 years with no ill effects.
