Who cares, if it works? Not all double wishbones are equal, not all macstrut are equal.

Thats a multilink rear though. I know the front is MP strut, but the rear isnt. Plus thats a very inexpensive car.
Were talking Porsche 911 money and getting VW golf suspension. I dunno why the front suspension on a 911 is strut -- they make it perform really well despite that though! --Ian |

It is technically true, but completely ignores the competence and skill with which any given technology is implemented. |
Any 1st hand opinions of the kia stinger? Wife is interested. I think rear visibility will kill it. Currently cross shopping against Subaru legacy. Must be AWD.
|
You're cross-shopping a Kia against a Scubaroo?
You're obviously going to buy the Kia. No amount of logic or reason will convince you otherwise. |
Hahahaha this is the wife's car. Logic and reason have fled the building.
|
Only if it's the GT.

We have a '13 Outback and the thing has an oil consumption problem since new.
All the newer engines that use 0W20 from Subaru have this problem, and they claim it is "within spec" We like everything about the car except the engine. I don't like adding 2 quarts between oil changes. We won't buy another Subaru. |

Logic and reason would point towards the Kia anyways, so i find your statement 110% correct.

Magnitude 5.8 earthquake in Istanbul.
No property damage, no injuries, no fatalities. Schools are closed. News channels dumped everything else, nothing but street interviews with panicked idiots on TV. Phones were useless for about an hour. All this for a five point eight. Maynard James Keenan should get on live TV and whisper "learn to swim" to the mic. This is the perfect place for that song. |
dat kia warranty.
but those tail lights remind me of 1979 cartoon plastic man's sunglasses and I can't ever unfeel that. also don't responsible adults buy cars for the environment or do we all just accept global warming and DGAF? |
I buy what i like.

0w 20 motor oil is only for the Federal CAFE standards and will lead to the premature death of your engine. Use a proper viscosity oil and your engine won't wear as much and won't use as much because it won't wear as much.
|
Wife's requirements are:
AWD Heated leather seats Excellent visibility <$35k You'd think it would be easy, right? Nope. Hates everything she's sat in. The kia is the 2.0T "limited" with the potato engine and bells/whistles. They have a 2018 they couldn't unload, and it's been knocked down from $40k to $32k. |

I know they use 0w20 to hit MPG targets, but other manufacturers using the same weight don't have the same consumption problems. I think it's more to do with the shitty 2.5L engine than anything else. I've been running 0w40 in the Miata for 6 years with no ill effects. |

Maybe, but you'd also be the only one that would think that the Taurus was ever a RWD sedan, apparently. :bowrofl: |
