Hahaha he thinks he'll get the new car and she'll get the hand-me-down hahaha; I kind of remember this logic from before I was married.
Joking aside, Congratulations Lars! |
Also, congrats Lars.
I made it that far, and NO FURTHER! https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...bd37788ec6.png Still kinda diggin' bachelor life at 40. Not sure I want to chase that particular dragon any longer.. In other news, why the fuck do realtors use terms like FROG in listings? Some of us are city-slickers who have no clue what that rural slang means. Can you just expend the extra 21 bytes and save me several minutes of Googling? (Well, Duck-Ducking to be precise, but that sounds silly.) |
I'm no city dweller, but I have no idea what that means.
Edit: I looked it up, and apparently it means "family room over garage". I don't know why that is desirable or why it is worth confusing clients for .5 seconds of saved typing time. |
Finished Room Over Garage.
It's like an attic, but smaller and with a proper stairway instead of a pull-down ladder. Took me a while to figure that out. https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...27bcbe37d3.png |
Sooooo no room for a lift then. Pass.

Ranger Quickjack. No need for ceiling height, portable, cheap.

I'm guessing the abbreviations came into use when listings went in newspaper classified ads where they charged you by the word. --Ian |

I'm just looking at rentals right now. If it comes to pass that I build, there will be a BendPak SP-7X, and no FROGs. (And an amazing kitchen.) |

There sure are a lot of fat people in North Carolina.
And I'm not talking about "Wow, that person sure is fat," I mean full-on "How are the bones in her legs even physically capable of supporting that load? Civil engineers could learn exciting new bridge-design techniques from studying her tibias." |
IGHL = In Ground Hydraulic Lift
I wish. |
Lowes has a socket set on sale, dirt cheap. Kobalt, which I have found is pretty decent quality.
https://www.lowes.com/pd/Kobalt-Inte...ase/1000135647 For 15 bucks, you can have a set for the camper, back of the truck, etc. Hell, for that price, you can get a couple and give them as gifts. |

As you can see here: fattest-states , the scores go from 41 (best) to 64 (worst), not even a 2:1 ratio. And, yes, SC ranks worse than NC. |

I think SC is worse. But really, we are seeing it everywhere. Even Colorado, the most fit state in the union does not necessarily have fit people, just relatively fit.

Spent the whole day looking at houses.
I was seriously tempted to get this one: https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...f5b0b8811f.png https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...553ec2bc3c.png https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...f23cca9bc9.png But in the end, I decided on this one instead: https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...65e21ed371.png https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...aaa3c92823.png https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...ea26c4ad19.png Huge pantry, so very much countertop space, nice gas range... The rest of it is equally well-appointed. Garage isn't as large as the other, but it's perfectly serviceable. Huge yard. Definitely gonna need that second battery. Signing the papers tomorrow. |
50amp? Plz. 3 phase or gtfo.
