Bill the owner has a big thing of being the sole provider of whatever ECU's they use in the US. They have done this with the Link, Hydra, and now the ME221.
They were one of the few with a rototest in the states too. I wonder how many dynos they have.
Visiting their website pics for a short while, I see an old dynojet above ground, rototest, and recent pics have a dual roller in ground.
FM had a dynojet until 2005 or so. They liked the rototest a lot, but it failed a couple years ago and parts were no longer available, so it became a bunch of expensive junk. They have a dynocom now, I think.
First this:
"Stephens was able to extract 399.4 hp and 375 lbs-ft of torque at 25 psi of boost pressure-all this from an internally stock factory 1.8-liter engine! "
Then this:
"When we last spoke to Stephens, he said the stock engine is on its last leg... "
I bet he could have run the car with no oil in the crankcase too . . . for a while.

His ecu situation is even more odd, anyone else see a lack of CAS? Yes it probably won't last long but the tuner must have been pretty good, I'm sure this was long before knew the limits of a stock block

I did the same thing to my '92 with the MS1, using a DIY wheel and a spacer that I lathed in my garage:
Going this route forces you to run batch injection, but that's really no concern at all for a drag car.
I find this early attempt at a coolant reroute to be quite interesting. Never considered doing it that way. Not going to have much in the way of circulation when cold, but it solves the problem of the mixing manifold while still preserving thermostat function.
"Chelsea waited anxiously for the turn card, knowing that the life of her cat rode on the outcome of this turn.
And for the first time, she genuinely regretted her decision to follow Hector's advice.
Silently, she swore that, if she made it out of this room with her ***** intact, things would be different."
"Joe performed numerous lathing operations, including facing, boring and thread-cutting, to produce a crankwheel spacer on his lathe.
Turning was not necessary, as the outer surface of the billet from which he was working was already true and of the correct diameter."
Just because the English language is annoying doesn't mean that I have to be.
