I was just following the related links through crappy street driving vids with asshats. I don't know where they are.

Does anyone have the ability to turn a PDF file into a word file so I can edit it? I don't have the deluxe version of Acrobat.
PDF, world's fourth biggest religion. https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...2c4a0626de.jpg |
You can directly open a PDF in newer builds of MS Word, and I assume that Open Office Writer (which is free) had this capability as well.

Thermodynamics is a hard class. That is all.

Anybody have any experience with engine simulation software (preferably one that isn't geared to ancient cast iron v8s with carbs) that is reasonably priced? Dynomation5 looks promising but I don't think I can justify $500 to my university just for one project.

:dunno: I've played a bit with this game on steam, fun to simulate motor builds. |
I have automation as well. What do you need to know?
|
How extensive and accurate is it? Part of my dissertation is comparing engine mapping on an engine dyno compared to the results gathered from engine simulation software. That reminds me that I need to sort out a miata lump for testing and bring my MS3X over here.
|
GT Power or Ricardo are your best options, as they are both extensive and as accurate as the data you input. Ricardo is definitely less user friendly, but works. Those are the main two I know of that engineers normally use. My FSAE team got both of them for free, not sure if they would do the same for a college dissertation.
|
Thanks, will look at both. Uni splurged for a load of Catia licences so I might get this approved too. Hopefully

Finally tore down the 1.8 from my v8 project. traded a set of crappy tuner wheels for this auto miata that "just stopped running on the interstate". lol I was in the market for a new boat anchor. |
