Well, if everything worked according to plan, the news story wouldn't actually be able to identify the perp by name, they'd just have a vague description and some speculation about his motive and patterns.

Happy Father's Day to all the dads!!!
Any suggestions on 12v battery chargers? I need a charger that will charge agm, wet and odyssey. I am looking at a battery minder model 128cec1. This is an updated version of the 12248 and i assume is approved for odyssey. Some say the desulfate mode is snake oil. Thoughts? http://www.batteryminders.com/batter...er-desulfator/ |

That said, are you planning to restore a lot of dead UPS batteries? I've personally used this unit for long-term maintenance charging. BLACK+DECKER 120-Volt Battery Maintainer-BM3B - The Home Depot |
I have two vehicles and a jet ski that do a lot of sitting in the garage. I have been using a schumacher marine charger. The two vehicle batts are starting to get weak and i am curious if i can save them with the charger i linked.

APPLEFACT: In 2006, 58% of apples produced in the United States were produced in Washington, 11% in New York, 8% in Michigan, 5% in Pennsylvania, 4% in California and 2% in Virginia. |
I live in NY, yet about half the apples we get at the local supermarket are from Washington.

Sulfation is a normal process and the snake oil comes in to play when trying to remove sulfation that has hardened and therefore reduces the surface area of the plates. There are different methods of removal with varying degrees of claimed success.
Charging at a higher voltage than normal supposedly burns off sulfates with potential side effects. The latest method is a pulse charge or a pulse charge using high frequency. The high frequency is "tuned" to a level that loosens sulfates. This could all be BS, i dont know. The Odyssey battery i am running in the ski has been flawless. It has incredibly low self discharge and has lasted years beyond anything i have tried. Researching pulse chargers has lead me to discover they require a special charger. (Special meaning the charge voltage requirement is specific) I never knew this. Odyssey has a list of approved chargers that was produced long before they made their own. The battery seems ok charging it with the marine charger. My current thoughts are getting the battery minder and it being correct for the Odyssey. If it adds back some years of service to the other batts then i win. Right now i am in analysis paralysis. |

Just got wind that.... The Fast & The Furious (2001) is playing wednesday at some local movie theaters around in my area.
Go rewatch the movie in nostalgia ? I'm sure the parking lot will be filled with lots of neat toys to look at on my way in :likecat: |

I didn't watch it in 2001, why would I watch it now? :)

It's playing here too. Definitely going to see it just trying to talk all my friends I used to wrench/race with into going. It came out just before I really got into cars and got my license. Used to be able to quote most of the movie. Miss those days, now when I talk to my friends all they have to talk about is kids, wives, and buying comfortable cars.
