I really like the McDonald's caramel frappe coffee drink, but I hate the fatty that works there. So fat and gross. So then I'm all grossed out and my drink doesn't taste good anymore.

For my 1,000th post, I will say this:
People who say shit like "I/she/he looks like she/he's on crack in that/this picture!!" should be forced to actually do the drug they're talking about, because they obviously have absolutely no idea what they're talking about. Drug ignorance is one of my major annoyances. |

5'11 and 175lbs, I won't be getting fat anytime soon. In fact, I have to stuff my face to stay at this weight.

Dammit.
Stopped to put gas in the Tacoma on the way home...and discover that I can't unlock the gas flap. Lock won't turn, and I don't want to snap my ignition key 2 miles from home. Drive home, nearly on empty. Try my wife's key that we had made right after I bought the truck a few months ago, still no luck. Sprayed the help out of the lock with that white graphite stuff, still nothing. I'm about 10 minutes away from crowbarring that sonovabitch open and replacing the lock mechanism with a bigass magnet to keep the door closed (improves fuel mileage and cures arthritis too). |
It's time once again for another look inside the state of light rail commuter transit. But first, a general observation:
St. Louis sucks. It's too damn hot and humid here. Ok, so I just flew in, and since I'm staying downtown by the arch, I took the Metrorail from the airport to 8th & Pine. Now, at the airport rail terminal, there was the usual row of farecard vending machines, so I bought a single-ride card and proceeded out to the train. Got onto the platform, boarded the train, rode it downtown, got off the train. And never once did I see a single turnstile or swipe my card. They sell tickets, and yet at no point do you actually have to use the ticket. There is absolutely no access control. And not just at the airport. I started eyeballing every station we stopped at, and there's no fare control of any kind anywhere. You just walk up and get on the train. In fact, I just looked at the ticket I bought, and there's no mag stripe on it. It looks like the sort of ticket you'd buy at the movie theater (it's made of paper, and the machine printed the date & time of purchase on the front) but nobody anywhere asked to see it, and it's not like they have conductors walking through the trains checking them. WTF? Does St. Louis run their trains on the honor system or something? |
Strange...

You never know, they might check.

Some how I knew that club roadster would be the place to find tips on shock removal.
