I like making sandwiches. Here's the sandwich I had for dinner last night.
Tri-tip, an egg, Tillamook white cheddar, Dave's good seed bread, mini sweet peppers, baby greens/spinach. Lovely. https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1463007013 |
Little ticks all over my sammich, yum yum.

I wish tri-tip was easier to get here in NC. It's a very hard-to-find cut.

that sammich looks delicious, except the bread.
me no likey whole wheat with seeds |
Vlad, have you tried Dave's killer bread? It's not like most wheat bread, I eat the stuff straight out of the bag. It's amazing. Nice and chewy, not dry AT ALL, really a nice consistency. Very delicious.

find a butcher or go to the farmers market. I've found it here in VA at both. I can walk 2 blocks on a Sunday and get it. Aint cheap though. Not out east.
Ya, it's wierd. California you can get tri tip at 7 eleven. Va...i ask for it at the butcher and they look at me like I'm crazy. It does seem to be gaining momentum oit here though. |
Only place I can find it regularly is at the Whole Foods

I'd only ever heard of it from a Masshole friend. He has family bring down a cooler full when they come to visit.

Well you can't really go wrong there. Get the burger and fries, animal style. Just say that at the register.

In n Out is often our first meal too... because it's open late and there is always one between the airport and our destination.
