would do again. but id rather have an angus deluxe if im going to eat there again.

Just had my first one a week ago. Everyone always raves about it, so I had to try it. Tasted like a burger, with bbq sause all over it. Definitely not worth the cost. If it was a buck, Id get a bunch of them, for $3 no thanks.

I think I just ate my last McDonalds for a while (I know I will falter eventually and give in to the cheap nastiness that is Mc). I stopped by one the other day when I was taking a little road trip, and after having not eaten fast food for quite a while, McDonalds was down right fucking disgusting(more so than normal). I ate a few bites of my over salted fries, my pitiful excuse for a burger and a few nibbles off the McNuggets and threw the rest away. I felt nasty for the rest of the day, like I was sweating the grease I just ate. what really pissed me off is I didn't realize it until I was sitting in the parking lot eating that there was a Whataburger right across the street that I some how didn't see. I'd just as well go hungry than eat low end fast food from now on, unless I'm in a real pinch.

Better off stopping at a deli than eating that garbage.

The guy at the deli up the road from our shop charges me $5 a sammich. With a few drinks, maybe a bag of chips, tax and tip its always under $10. The guy washes his hands, actually puts MEAT on the thing and its a little family owned operation.

At McDonald's you get the worst meat (if you can even call it that) possible on the planet, NOBODY washes their hands and your putting more money in a big company's already big pocket.

you guys bring a tear to my eyes. and now I'm going to whore out something that probably most of you believe in--even though it's a little political:

https://secure3.convio.net/ucs/site/...Action&id=2999

cliffs:
improve the availability of local food sources to improve health and food security. and write a letter to your government representatives and let them know you support local food and dislike factory farming that leads to nasty mcdonalds mystery cow burgers.

basically when you see pictures of farms on packages of food, it's bullshit. make it real. plus even Braineack shops at the farmer's market so you KNOW it's cool!

Just get chicken instead of hamburger. Less grease.

"Chicken". A mash of proteins and pulp stamped into a patty and fried. Even the non fried chicken shit they have isn't "real chicken", it's some kind of cut, soaked in a brine or something, to make it tender and super fucking salty. I'm seriously going to try my damnedest to not eat at that goddamn place again. If I do, it will be for their desserts or drinks, MAYBE a fry when I get a craving for salty potato. But after this last batch of super salt sticks, I'm not even feeling that. I can tolerate most of the other fast food chains, even though I avoid them most of the time too. The arches are just the worst of the evils I think. Chick Fil A is decent most of the time, and seems to go light on salt usually.

One fast food I will NEVER be able to go without every now and then is Milo's. I feel so sorry for you people not in this area who has never had one. Two beef patties, fried, put on some sort of bun, drenched in zesty brown gravy (special sauce, it's fucking good!) and onions, topped with a few dill pickles, and if you do it right, with a slice of cheese (and then ask for extra cheese), then the whole burger is put back on the grill and toasted/fried. Then an extra little cup of gravy to dip the orange fries in. Orange because they are coated with an awesome season salt. Open that wrapped and find a burger murder scene, sauce over everything. Then you have their fucking awesome sweet tea. I bet you could find a gallon jug of Milo's tea in 1/3 of households or more in the Milo's region. It's probably 1500 calories for one double cheese and a large fry, but goddamn I don't care!

If you're ever in the Birmingham area, stop by and try one. There are at least 10 or 12 locations in the metro area, or central Alabama.

PS, Fuck. Now I will have to go eat there tomorrow. Haven't had my arteries clogged like that recently.

Do me a favor when you go. Ask them where they get their beef and if it's hormone or antibiotic fed.

Typically places that don't know or care will answer something like this:

"It's 100% natural"
or
"It's from this great supplier we've used since 1948"
or
"Good old American corn-fed beef!"
or
"It's fresh beef"

If they answer with the name of a farm, then they are super win.

I'm sure it's not "all natural". I would imagine very little of the beef you would find at a typical grocery store/chain store would be. At least it's not that typical fast food tasting or textured "beef". You can tell it feels like a real patty of beef. Little bits of fat and gristle give you something to chew on and feel. They also aren't typical molded patties. Some of them are so oblonged they hang off the bun by several inches. They also typically put an extra small piece of patty on their singles, so it's almost a double for no extra cost.

Damn that was good. Mega Meal combo. Double cheese, fries, sweet tea and a peach pie. $6.49, and all delectable.
