I don't usually like the looks of the NC, but this one I would die for.

HDR doesn't seem to reap any additional benefits in parking lots at night...

Taken with a Powershot S2 IS, automatic exposure bracketing at -2, 0, +2... Only three exposures each.

The noise is most likely a result of short exposure length and then extreme levels adjustment to compensate. And then there's a point at which you're just not going to get detail in the darker areas - you reach the limits of the equipment. You can remove the noise at the price of detail to some extent:

I don't mind the noise in these shots.

The noise was from me not checking what the ISO setting was. It could've been easily avoided but I forgot. ![Giggle](https://www.miataturbo.net/images/smilies/gay.gif)
Also, people actually use HDR to get rid of noise in the shadows, but that usually works better by taking 5 or more different exposures.
It seems for HDR to make the picture really stand out, you need to have a certain highlight in mind when you're processing the photos. I chose the sky and that's the reason I took the pictures.

I know nothing about the HDR stuff, I've seen it before, but I don't know whats involved or how to. But damn, ******* pictures can look crazy different. My favorite of that group is the NC with a glass like finish look to it. The red on the NA really comes out red hunh? After I post this I might google a how to and see whats involved in getting into this.
Keep these pics coming!
