What does this forum have against drag racing? I don't get it. Perhaps we forget that the only reason our turbo'd 4 cylinder cars are fast is because of the weight. Guess what I'm trying to say is, why should I pay for an SCCA license and then work by watching the turns at a track while other cars knock cones over, when instead I can throw down some cash and line up next to a rumbling V8 drivin by somebody who is about to get a lesson in horsepower to weight ratio. Then go 1/4 mile in a straight line and then a bets a bet. Game Over.
I mean what, are you gonna say to someone, "I bet your car can't make it around the wal-mart parking lot faster than mine, and I'll throw down $100." Then you have someone stand there and time it with a stop watch?
