Ford GT350

Our Solo DL didn't pick up any of the cool data from the CANbus so Sonny used his phone for physics data, Harry's or Torque. Export to .csv or .xls the load into RaceRender. Camera was a Hero 3 suction cupped to the rear window. Pax seat folded down to clear view.
We had planned a trip to AIM in Lake Elsinore for them to generate a CAN config file so we can get all the data but they got busy with SEMA and PRI. We'll get back to that. GT350 has funtime native data/sensors. Should be fun to make one video with a big column of all this data on one side.
-steering angle
-individual hi-res ride height sensors at each corner
-brake line pressure
-individual wheel speed
- GPS speed
-yaw rate
-pitch
-roll
-3 axis g sensors
-oil temp
-oil pressure
-coolant temp
-cylinder head temp
-trans temp
-diff temp
- RPM
-TPS

"Average" is ambiguous. Go slow enough and anything survives track use. Assuming it's driven hard to C6Z will have issues. Everything runs hot. I did one track day at Chuckwalla in relatively cool weather where the C6Z was good for four or five laps before the coolant and oil temps got unmanageable. In contrast to the GT350 that doesn't care.

As an example of my current pace.

I think what I probably did a very poor job of trying to get at, is that you and alot you west coast guys are much faster than myself personally. Obviously you'll be much harder on equipment.
So if my 100% was your 70% (for arguments sake) do you think you'd still see all the issues mentioned. That's more what I was trying to get at, but did so poorly .

Making a project decision on something as ambiguous as that is a mistake IMO.
Perhaps you will try to rephrase the question 4 different ways until you get an answer that helps you rationalize. Also a mistake.
Track cars should have headroom, be future proof. "It's fine unless I try really hard" Makes no sense.
"It's fine no matter how hard I learn or want to drive it" is the correct answer.
Perhaps start a new thread about Corvette's though?

I ended up renting a 2017 mustang 3 times this year pretty much randomly after never driving a mustang before. As a street car, I was struck by how difficult it was to maintain good rear visibility and spatial awareness of the corners of the vehicle. I have zero track experience, but I would think these factors would only be exacerbated on the track. Do you find visibility to be a concern? Have you found effective work-arounds? Driving them actually drove home for me how much the visibility out of a Miata with the top down informs the driving pleasure I get out of a Miata.

I've driven a fastback 50ae GT once. What an awesome car. But you're right. Spacial awareness is not very good.

I've almost pulled the trigger on GT350 but just couldn't justify $20k dealer markup... I also was shopping for a track package GT a while back but decided against it after taking one on a test drive. Rear visibility and blind spots were on par with a 350Z I've had many years ago. Steering felt like crap and bucket seats weren't as comfortable as I hoped.
