It's been so easy to sneer at Mustangs for so long. I've always had a spot for the late 60's stangs, who doesn't, but everything since has been mostly crap. Now I'm mustang curious too. Shhhh.
Also drove an SS 1LE. Very good car. A bit less feedback than the GT350, felt a bit heavier. Engine a bit flatter powerband and not quite as free revving. Doesn't sound near as exciting either. Great brakes, balance and grip though. This video was made with the native camera and overlay. It displays on the center dash display just as you see it. Plug a USB stick into the car and download. Jelly of that bit of tech
Tony Montana on this forum just sold his GT350. Not all of them are made to be tracked. Tech Pack cars didn't come with trans and diff coolers originally and they have failures if they are tracked. Yes, manual transmission cars had a pump and cooler if they have the Track Pack but not Tech Pack in the first year.

The cooling package is (and has been) available through Ford Performance to add to the Tech Pack cars. Even says in the owners manual that Tech Pack cars should add the cooling package if you are planning on taking the car to the track.
Edit: I see now that the transmission has an internal pump for the cooling package, so its not a cheap add on.
If I wasn't upside down on my ND so badly, AND I hadn't just installed several thousand dollars of mods on it, I would buy one of the two black GT350's within a hundred miles of me. I would wrap it immediately... and then cry at the tire bill lol
We should have the Xida ACE next week. We will be one of the beta testers for the DSC control system.
6UL's unknown. We're just starting the data gathering process. Primary issue is lack of 200 or Super200 tires for it. Two best HPDE tire options are factory 19" PSS2 or Toyo R888R in 20".
Hoosier has a perfect size 19" A7/R7 but I'm skeptical that market is big enough to justify a whole new casting tool.
I searched through the thread and don't think I asked, are you going to do XIDA's for the non-GT350 Mustang's as well?
E, curious if you had any engine troubles? I've been reading about quite a lot of issues with the Voodoo engine. My guy tells me it's that people don't understand, and don't stay on top of, a high performance, high revving engine that uses oil between changes. Instead of like most cars you don't need to add any.
Reading the Mustang forums is like CR or NASIOC or something..........turrible.
No issues with mine. It does use a little oil. I seem to be using less than most other GT350's. Virtually none actually. Probably because I was bouncing it off the limiter on track about 2hrs after I bought it. Dealer oil change at around 800 miles then again to Amsoil 5W50 at around 1500 miles IIRC.
Our GT350 at Buttonwillow. Basically stock expect these mods: R replica wing, OEM R splitter, R sized P6GR wheels, 305/325 Eagle F1 R3 tires, crash bolts.. oh and the most important mod, Sonny driving it.
