We had a pretty crazy wind storm last night. Not as if it compares to some of you east-coasters and your hurricanes, but pretty crazy for us still. Power was only out for 6 hours or so this morning.
Along with our trashcan being missing, I opened up the back door this morning to stand their in my underwear drinking coffee when I noticed this.

I pulled this one out of the ground. It was really in there! Hard to tell how deep it was into the ground without something to reference, but it was about 7 or 8 inches deep I think.

The strongest gust last night was 74mph with a gust of 97 reported north of the city a little bit that they think was just a localized effect.

The branches that fall off the tree in my front yard are usually 12ft+ and require a good hacking up before they get picked up....usually to about the size of that stick. Dought here weakened that tree and it drops **** all the time. Hell one put a 4" hole in my roof earlier this year. But I understand man, it's like when we get "snow" in Atlanta and make a big deal out of it...while everyone up north and in the mountains out there laughs at us.
But if you really want a good idea of what happens when we get bad wind, just look at Rob's avatar (M2CupCar)
BTW Wayne- I was thinking about your avatar last friday lol
