Ebay China-Projectors
Anyone have any experience with these?
HD Ready Home Cinema LCD Projector & TV Tuner Free Post - eBay (item 360179975084 end time Aug-24-09 09:28:46 PDT)
Its 330$. I'm not completely concerned with image quality because I kind of want this just for parties and watching movies in my pool. Though obviously I want to at least be able to see the character's faces.

* Resolution: 800xRGBx480 concurrently 1024x768
* Lamp-house(golden bittern lamp): 175W
Those are the only two things that worry me.. I have no idea what 800xRGBx480 concurrently 1024x768 means?? At first I noticed the 1024 resolution, and technically to display 1080p it should display 1080x720 IIRC... Though I'm not sure that is correct or not.
Secondly, looking at the light energy rating of the bulb, it might be a bit low. Contrast ratio is completely irrelevant when it comes to display devices because it is not an ISO. Every company rates theirs differently, but the light output from bulb rating is pretty good indication. Other HD projectors in the ~1300$ range typically are around 250 watts.
That said, I'd bet its worth the cost of the projector.. Someone get one and report back!
