Lose the wing and change the wheels, and 8K sounds like a good deal to me - but lately clean stock NA's are asking around 5-6K up here.
Smothers raced F5000 in 1970 in a Lotus 70, was good enough to make a run at the title, but CBS made him quit to protect their TV show. Friend of mine bought the car, ran it in a bunch in VSCCA races, then sold it to some Certified Rich Guy in England. I helped out with prep and in the pits, but never got to drive it Mmmmmm - 1400 lbs, 5-liter Traco-built Chevy, Hewland LG transaxle, BIG ol' Hoosiers. Used to have a picture of it as my avatar.
