Let the hatered flow through you, young grasshopper.
Actually the tone and procesing was intentional, he like's it. I like it too. Some people don't.
I asked him to do a few with less, I'll post them up later (blocked at work).
I think it makes the pictures more vibrant, exciting, kinda like a theme.
no, it makes them look like someone without skill made them. It's a ******* car in the middle of the street--It's not vibrant or exciting.
jacking the clarity slider to +100 doesn't make a good picture.
he couldn't even take the time to remove the nasty chromatic aberrations from his shitty $50 lens? Or level a horizon or two?
His dodge/burn work makes me want choke on someone else's puke to death.
In that first shot alone, you have really underexposed trees with the blacks/shadows way too heavy in the bg. Horrible Bokeh BTW.
Then you have this white car with the shadows brought up WAY too high so the car look superimposed onto the street. He even went as far as unevenly dodging the shadow of the car on the ground.
The car looks splotchy, like you gave it your gaids and it broke out in lesions.
The hood is the darkest part of the car, yet it's the spot that's getting direct sunlight. That doesn't make sense. The car is white, not dick-hole gray.
And to top it all off, the color temperature of the car doesn't match the rest of the scene--it looks blue where everything else is yellow.
that last shot is pretty cool. and at least you put your visors back up.

btw wickedwhite is selling his sedan for something luxury right now just like you. it seems all my friends are "growing up" and moving on to boring cars.
All my other friends drive lexus, bmw, Benz
It's still plenty of fun, comfortable as hell, peppy enough, handles well enough (if not just as well). It's flat around the corners I've taken, very neutral, and the AWD still grips very well. (i think on paper it's rated at .87 vs .93) It feels slower overall (and is) but it's definitely a nicer DD--SO SMOOTH. The transmission is silky smooth, and you never really notice it until you need to mash the peddle and go. But I'd rather have to wait for a TQ converter to wind up than that slow *** turbo in some situations.
I end up using sport mode in stop and go traffic because it really changes how it reacts to throttle and keeps you in a higher gear. I haven't played with that mode too much otherwise, it's supposed to change the damping on the shocks as well.
I think the 2013 had a bit more options to improve things I might care about, like the direct-steer and rev matching transmission that they adapted from the AMG. But whatever.
Im getting better MPGs (not that it really matters). But I'm seeing an average of 26-7mpg driving to work when Id be at 22-23mpg in the subaru.
The versatility factor of the car dropped significantly though. Having that hatch opened up so many possibilities with the car, but I decided that it was a compromise worth making. I have plenty of SUVs and wagons I can borrow from family if need be.
There's something behind my ignition that's rattling, and my driver door vibrates a bit with music so I'm going to actually drop it off one of these days to have them fix that. But other than that nothing really negative so far.
oh yeah, and i really like being able to read all my displays at any time of the day. I leave my headlights on in the WRX, so that basically makes my clock/mpg display non-existent, as well as the dash gauge lights. and the MB draws me fun pictures when I need gas:
one more negative:
there's no pause button on the radio controls. you can mute things but you can't pause. so if you want to stop your media from the 6-CD/DVD changer, SD card reader, 10gb Hard Drive, or integrated Ipod controls, you have to change it to sat radio or turn it off completely. That's kinda weak.
But, I can read text messages through the BT connection on my phone, so that's fun.
Nice.
Which year did you get? I read they updated a bunch of stuff for 2013 like alum hood vs steel and a bunch of other stuff. Basically motortrend or car and driver (don't remember) said "pre-13 owners must feel like they got ripped off when looking at the 13"
