looking for 500+ at the wheels on 93 pump gas. Corn isn't common where I'm located unfortunately. Funny thing is im putting a 440xtr on my miata hahaha.
Typo excuse me. not an r. 440xt, and I was thinking precision 6062 for Blu. Already have a bw turbo on a personal car and I like to try different things so i can find out what I like and dont like.
Anyone have any opinions on these? https://www.rallysportdirect.com/par...r-control-arms
I've had a set of these sitting around for a year (basically got them 50% off), and only recently remembered that I have them. Are they worth installing? I'm not really finding much in terms of personal experiences. Can't decide if I should just throw them on or sell them. I think they normally sell for ~700
They have upgraded bushings and come with the anti lift kit.
I was actually looking for the OEM aluminum arms for my WRX when I did my front end suspension restoration, but apparently the USDM WRX wagon (GG) was blessed with the "narrow" track width, only found on non USDM WRX things, and like, uh, GC8 series cars? I wanted them quite a lot, but could not find them new. Every time I looked all I could find was general Subaru masturbation/confusion, and then people asking where they could buy ones that actually fit the wagon without changing to sedan axles. Sad times.
RSD does not show fitment on that link, what exactly do they fit? Depending on fitment there might be a ton of guys who think they want them.
What did you guys do with your subarus this weekend? I ran an auto-x and took 2nd overall with my LGT wagon. Was less than a second behind a supercharger Z06. Video of one of my runs.
I removed literally every single thing from the interior of mine, starting to steam clean/pressure wash/meticulously clean every...........single..........panel.........incl uding the tub of the car.
Ecu in my Montero is flashable. I'm looking to swap a newer/larger motor in it that shares same family, and would be super stoked if i could either 1) just flash oem maps from the car/truck i pull the motor from or 2) make minor tweaks to run the new motor safely, and NOT get forced into a standalone or crossing my fingers and hoping the 3.8 won't blow up on the 3.5 maps.
Yes this is Subaru thread, but i figured you dudes were the only ones dealing with AIDS like this.
Then something about building a "definition file?"
Sound right? Is a definition file something that's easy to build? Or should i consider offering some dry handies to the dude that recently messed with this apparently successfully?
Ive never built one. All the Subaru ones are already built by people way better with code than I am. I just tune the cars and do minor adjustments to definition files as needed. Can't help much there.
I mean, making a definition file is probably the hardest part of the whole process, you're literally going into the raw code and "defining" each parameter that you will then be adjusting with your "tune". Otherwise you got nothing but a huge file full of numbers and/or letters.
Has anyone actually successfully flashed your ecu/truck before? I'd ask for their def if they made one.
Changed the oil for the first time on my new to me '08 impreza and found this (PO warned me, so no surprise really).
Back of drivers side head to block junction
Back of passenger side head to block junction
Bottom of passenger side head to block junction
I couldn't really get my phone in to take a good picture of the drivers side bottom, but let's just assume I posted a picture of a really really oily grimy junction.
The car has 145k miles on it, so this is to be expected.
The real question here is how much should I care? I'm likely going to give the car to my sister some time soon as she needs a more reliable car than the early 90's blazer she's driving now and I don't really want to do the head gaskets on the car, but I also don't want to give her a time bomb...
The oil that came out was thin, but the car was hot and about 1k miles overdue for the change (I got busy, don't judge).
I get OEM every time. No exceptions.
Actually had really good luck getting subaru OEM gasket kits on amazon.
If not that, then the "revised" gaskets that are supposed to be not failure prone.
something like this (no idea if right set, but you get the idea) straight from my last amazon scoob order

Any idea if it's the same as a late 3000gt ecu? I used a tactrix cable on my friends. Can't remember where I got the files for it though.
I changed the oil in the Subaru last night. I managed to put 4 quarts on the ground and ~1 quart in the catch pan. Go me.
New T6 is indistinguishable from the old T6 as far as my 2.0 cared on my commute this morning. I'll keep an eye on the level and see if this stuff goes away any faster than the old T6.
I also traded a laptop for more Subaru parts I don't need
