I always go down that road in my head, but I'm still on shitty, self repaired, stock tmic. I would need a tune, ej25 ringland, etc. woes, and this is my daily. Would go from a $100 rebuild kit to....

I am under the impression, but its from Subaru forums so... that because the gay little vf40 is run just about full tilt in this configuration, they wear quick. I just don't want to find out that it needs a rebuild after the blades hit the housing.

they failed cause the filters on the feed lines would clog and take the turbo out
if it aint broke........
and if it does break later, you dont want it anyway, get a td04 from an 08 or vf52 from 09+ wrx's
IIRC ihi still hasn't released any of the oem spec parts for these turbos, so any that are "rebuilt" are done so with aftermarket parts. I dont like that. I don't like rebuilt ihi's. they never last as long from what I seen.

So many VF52 take offs, I bet I could get one real cheap on CL or what have you. Then youll email tune me right vlad?

Should I preemptively rebuild my turbo? 107k on stock vf40(i think) running cobb stg 2 its whole life, which is just under @18psi iirc. Its an 05.

Anyone have brake pad recommendations for my STI? I'm almost down to metal lol.
The stock pads have shitty bite IMO, and don't really think I'm gonna run XP8's on a mostly street driven car.

Subaru finally sent me a letter saying they have airbags in stock! Yaaaaaay! Time to make an appointment with the dealer.
