Skoolie 1998 International converted school bus - $9400 (SE Portland)
Well hello there, potential tow and sleep vehicle! (diesel):
1998 International with 129,000 miles on the engine, new transmission installed in Texas before we came up to Portland, the speed governor is still on to keep the warranty valid from international. This bus has the factory AC in it which has been serviced and blows cold. It has a double sink and a tub/sitting shower, a king size bed with new mattress. The original bus seats all have seat belts. I bought the bus from a guy who bought it at an auction from Marshall Independent School District in Texas, so no rust. I pulled all the seats out and tore up the old floor, painted and sealed the metal floor then installed quarter inch cork insulation and covered that with inch and a quarter tongue and groove flooring that I sanded and then put three coats of polyurethane on. The floor is solid and wont buckle or shift. I installed a precision temp on demand propane water heater and shurflo pump, there is a 65 gallon fresh water tank. All plumbed with half inch pex and brass hardware. The tub is a hundred gallon stock tank that drains to a 40 gallon grey water tank. The hot and cold water is fully functional, you can run the system off the water in the tank, you can also hook up a garden hose and run the system off that. I installed a cigarette lighter and a couple of usb ports so you can charge your phone. I can show you all this stuff when you come to look. The bus is titled as a motor home, this makes it much easier to
register and get insurance.
Nuh uh. Legal stickers on the license, bro. Legally parked.
But any RV I purchase will be in an RV storage place somewhere most of the time. With a tarp on it.
Might have a job soon, so might be able to make these decisions WITHOUT INTERFERENCE FROM WOMAN oh wait, ****, did I type that out loud? ****. My bad. I meant, with the approval and guidance of the love of my life, I might be able to purchase the family an RV we could all use on adventures together!!
Aidan, shush, I already said it wouldn't be parked on the street, then furthered that with a marital joke. You being new to the marital game, and without children, no foul for not appreciating the marital joke. If, in 25 years, it is still not funny / does not resonate with you, kudos to you sir, and I will buy you beer.
Always wanted a schoolbus as a tow vehicle. Katy's kinda on board. Maybe not on board, just skeptical. Nothing says classy like a schoolbus parked on the front lawn

Look into trying to get personal insurance. I tried going that route a few years ago and it has become extremely hard. Progressive was one of the only insurance companies that would insure conversions and they stopped taking new clients years ago.

Car never been in accident clean title <-------------------- LOL
Truth:
That car is in about the same shape (and has a very similar color scheme) to the '90 that I bought from Emilio (who, in turn, had bought it from Craigslist purely for the hardtop that it came with) about 8 years ago after I'd moved from FL back to CA and needed a CA-legal car. It was, in fact, rust-free and had a clean title insofar as reported accidents were concerned.
Mind you, there wasn't a single straight panel on that car, but nothing had been reported to insurance.
Looks really clean, but the price is a little optimistic. If this were close to me, I'd probably go have a look... I'd love to have one of these.
If you know what you're looking at, maybe you've been looking for it. Well now is your time!
I am the second owner of this clean tittle 1988 Mazda 323 GTX. One of 1,240 that were ever brought into the states and in great shape for the year. The body does not have any major dents, the interior is in great shape. See pictures for a couple of scratches and car phone. Car is all original with exception of cold air intake, strut tower bars, a high flow fuel pump, and rear muffler delete. Orignal air box comes with the car along with a Momo steering wheel hub.
The issue with the car is low compression in cylinder three. I want to put the funds towards a different project.
Regular maintenance was done. Car runs and drives fine, starts every time, and no CEL or anything, just low on power. Comes with Braid rally wheels and Maxxis medium compound gravel tires for the right price. Have some other parts for it I am probably forgetting as well.
