$36k could go so much further on the rotary platform. Before you V8 dickriders start commenting about reliability, if it's for a weekend/cool secondary car, no care.
I feel like LS swaps are the easy button for quitters lmao.
Many years ago I had a chance to ride shotgun in a super clean LS1 powered FD on an autocross. The owner was a level headed guy, good fabricator and driver. It was a better car than the 13BT powered FD in every way. To this day, I thought it would be a cool swap. Now days though, it would be an emissions legal GM E-ROD in an RX8 with 18x10's, For less than $20k you could have an immaculate, emissions legal 2+2 with 400/400.

Ya actually, do care.
Some of us prefer that even our weekend cars actually run all the time, and some of us would really be furious sitting on the side of the road with *insert any of the 5 billion reasons* non-running car. Or needing it towed home in the middle of the night on Saturday
Sorry sweetie, but on MT we prefer impractical, not unreliable
<3
lol @ **** rotaries. Why do people even bother with that crap anymore? Only cool rotary car was the RX-3
God. I should keep track of the overheated rotaries I see down here in the keys. Can't handle the harsh heat of driving down the highway.
The only shop I will bring my Miata to is called Maztech. On any given day he has 9-12 RX-8s in the lot and another 2-3 RX-7s. Pretty sure 80% of his revenue is from fixing/rebuilding rotaries.
If you don't know how to take care of one it sucks. I'm in the middle of finding that out on the one I bought. Engines almost back together though. Can't wait for the brap.

Going to need tune up , oil service , some interior needs to be reglued and a good check over . If you look up the car on the internet their were about 1550 units shipped to the US . I am at a firm $7500.00 .
I particularly like the " Bigger fuel injectors and frame rail out of a 94 1.8l" part.
Almost as good as:

I love those engines. They're not particularly power dense, but they do make really nice, linear power and yes sound amazing. Also get pretty decent mileage. My MK3 Jetta GLX got 30 mpg at 85 between san bernardino and SLC.
