Duhh... the DivaCup is a non-absorbent menstrual cup that simply collects menstrual flow. It is inserted in the vagina and sits at the lower base of the vaginal canal. It is worn internally, yet because it is soft and smooth, it cannot be felt nor will it leak when inserted properly.

My girlfriend uses one at certain times of her period. Except hers is called a "moon cup". Yes she is vegetarian tree hugger. Let's just say there is a learning curve with it... First time she used it it looked like someone was murdered in my bathroom. The little nipple on the bottom is for you to pull it out and dump it. It takes getting used to. She said it hurt taking it out and putting it in the first few times and if it's not in right you feel it. The reasoning behind it is besides wasting paper with tampons, they are also bleached paper you're putting on a mucus membrane, not so good. Women can get Toxis Shock Syndrome and can die occasionally because of them. Her sister almost did. The only time she doesn't use it is when she'll be away from home for too long (kind of hard to dump it and wash up in a public restroom inconspicuously) and at night (cause it'll leak). More info then you wanted to know I'm sure.
