Aidan, your post reminds me that I need to read and learn to set up ms3 to flash one of the dash lights when I pass a certain knock threshold.
Also, I hate vodka. I can deal with titos in a mixed drink. I'm more of a shaken dirty gin martini, negroni, greenpoint, Manhattan, kinda guy.
Scotch and mezcal cocktails are next level.

If you're a scotch guy, see if you can find Glen Moray. It's the best house scotch I've found for the price. It's a speyside and is ~25-30 bucks a bottle.
For irish whiskey, I really like Jameson Caskmates (aged in stout barrels). I need to find a decent bourbon. I haven't really had much of it.

I don't usually pick blended scotch.
Also, re: Irish whiskey.
Had green spot and yellow spot at a bar in beggars busy, Dublin a few years ago. It was fantastic. Also Jack / pat Ryan? Can't remember which one it was..

I first had good rum in Nicaragua. Fleur De Cana. Stuff was awesome. It was so cheap I bought the 12 and 18 year aged stuff for myself and a few as gifts for family. I was 18. I think I cried when a bottle broke in my suit case lol.
A friend and I would take a shot before and after every chem lab report we wrote. Oh frosh year of college....
