I work in broadcasting. I live behind the curtain, but I ultimately control the button that determines whether Radio happens or not in most of the major markets in the US. So, with that as perspective, please understand the gravity of my words when I say that you have a cooler job than I do. :D |

Since I think the bible is written by humans with good imaginations, i'm not inclined to raise my kids based on its words--but that's another thread.
I think there is a fine line in discipline with The Hand. You've crossed it when it leaves a lasting scar either physically or emotionally. A few spankings or some arm grabbing in the mall is pretty typical today or when I was a kid. lashings with a belt until you break your kids will is totally unnecessary. The thing is this... chances are if you raised your kids well, you likely wont need to resort to that belt. And if they're defective children and you feel that's the only way to control them, it probably wont work anyway and it wont teach them anything productive either. And if your father peed on your naked ass before he whipped you with his belt, then you'll just come on a forum and brag about how big and smokey your truck is. |

On the trackday at Sebring on October 1-2 when I was there with NASA they had a big clubroadster get together at the track both days. The clubroadster guys got to do a paced parade lap during the lunch break each day. I was just reading about the event on the NASA-FL forum and apparently one of the clubroadster guys spun off the track into the grass at turn 10 during the parade lap and got stuck out there while everybody else from the CR group paraded by. :facepalm: Apparently they really believe that slammed cars with stretched tires corner well.
