Or back in the real world/reality, they're using less RPM'sin an effort to reduce emissions & improve MPG, and in turn be able to meet emissions targets set by countries worldwide and therefore actually be able to sell their cars to people.

Unfortunately in this day and age high RPM engines are not the future.

Since I think the bible is written by humans with good imaginations, i'm not inclined to raise my kids based on its words--but that's another thread.

I think there is a fine line in discipline with The Hand. You've crossed it when it leaves a lasting scar either physically or emotionally. A few spankings or some arm grabbing in the mall is pretty typical today or when I was a kid. lashings with a belt until you break your kids will is totally unnecessary.

The thing is this... chances are if you raised your kids well, you likely wont need to resort to that belt. And if they're defective children and you feel that's the only way to control them, it probably wont work anyway and it wont teach them anything productive either.

Oddly, I'm inclined to agree with you on a few of your points, but I'd also like to point out that how I see children acting in public these days.. My father would've beat the shit out of me had I acted in the deplorable fashion which seems acceptable these days. The parenting has completely failed generations since I was a child and I truly believe it will be a significant contribution to the severe downfall of society in general. When I was younger my public actions were NEVER anything remotely like kids I see these days, and if they were my father would have seriously beat my fucking ass. Would like to think his disciplinary tactics of putting the fear of god him
in me actually worked, and made me a well rounded individual.

Also, tell me whats the deal with people living well below the poverty line with 10 fucking kids, especially in the Mexican culture? Significant portion of their children seem just as well behaved in public.. :rolleyes:

On the trackday at Sebring on October 1-2 when I was there with NASA they had a big clubroadster get together at the track both days. The clubroadster guys got to do a paced parade lap during the lunch break each day. I was just reading about the event on the NASA-FL forum and apparently one of the clubroadster guys spun off the track into the grass at turn 10 during the parade lap and got stuck out there while everybody else from the CR group paraded by.

Apparently they really believe that slammed cars with stretched tires corner well.

That's just my opinion though.

If I fucked up, I got whipped, and If I was told I was getting a whipping and didnt listen, I got it even worse. I think the worlds gone soft thats why we have so manuy shit heads running around with no manners or respect, or any idea how to behave. I look back at my friends and the ones who got the shit whipped out of them when they messed up are well behaved and the ones who did whatever they want and talked back still act like little assholes.

My mom told me something one time and I backed talked her and without even hesitating she slapped the shit out of me. Last time I back talked her.

Its made me a better person, I wish more parents whipped their kids.

Tough packaging in teeny sized cars, and added weight, and added expense. So it could be done, but you'd be left with a car with even less interior space, that weighed as much as a saloon, and cost a lot. I'm assuming that's why manufacturers have stuck to front wheel drive for the Ford Focus RS, Renault Megane 275 et al.
