Kinda nervous..
I think I'm about to pull the trigger on a 2700 sq ft garage for more outlandish projects... https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...a7f1298cd5.jpg |
More outlandish? So, you're building your own nuke?
|
Will it be big enough?

It will eventually have 2 lifts (I have just one lift currently), a studio for yt videos, a social area with proper furniture, kitchen, and a display corner for the race car ( a 900 Hp Evo 9). The place is about 5 minutes from home, so that's a plus. Many excite. |

Trigger pulled!
Sent in earnest payment / good faith money today. Title transfer will be on Tuesday afternoon. |
We expect regular progress updates on the flying car.

I seriously doubt the authenticity of this claim.

Le sigh.
Pic unrelated. County wants to auction pieces like this with us sometimes. |

It's mostly intended as a critique of the common complaint that "all cars today look the same." In reality, most cars have, at any given time, always tended to look the same. Outliers to this rules are neither more nor less rare today than in the 90s or the 70s or the 50s. https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...e44a3556eb.png |

They asked him why he had no protective gear.
He said the target needed protection, not him. He also added the competition was not fair because the targets were stationary. |

What's the deal with that skidplate?
|
IDK. Maybe Hakan's parts stick out more than those of a French pole vaulter?

^ That is wild.
This was sent to me by a friend down in western Florida, where they've had a bit of rain lately. You've heard of the Elf on the Shelf, but are you ready for... https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...5c917a56c8.png I honestly did not know that the rear side windows rolled down on these. |

That's what's been brutal about this storm. The flooding wasn't storm-surge in the beach / canal neighborhoods, it's just runoff from the highest-level inland areas to the lower-level ones.
Also, by state law, if an insurance company agrees to cover a house at the top of Britton Hill (the highest point in Florida, at 345 feet AMSL), they're also obligated to cover Miami, Naples, Punta Gorda, etc. https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...2cd3aa55d0.png https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...1130d3eada.png |

Is that a new law? USAA was not writing homeowners policies in coastal counties for 15-20 years or so but would write them for inland county dwellings. But I haven't checked in 5 years.
Pic unrelated. County fleet manager wants to send a Bobcat to my auction. Says, "It ran when we parked it, so it should be fine." |

Smoked my first meat on the new smoker today. A pair of pork tenderloins with a simple dry rub.
It's one of the fancy pellet smokers, where you set the desired temp and then it automatically regulates the feed of wood into the chamber. https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...eae77f4724.png This was after about 2 hours, finishing them at 250° after hitting 150° internally. Juicy and delicious. https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...fd21b8b78d.png |
Does it only cook sows?

Thus far, yes. Can it? I desire to prove otherwise in the coming days. A friend of mine, experienced with this specific type of smoker, recommended pork tenderloins for the first cook, as they are relatively forgiving of mistakes. It took a few tweaks to the feed rate, for instance, to get it to be able to consistently hold 175-180° (a fairly low temperature) without porpoising, https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...a43808c6bd.png |

That's EXACTLY what I thought when I saw the photo, I had that MAD magazine when I was a kid which was "MANY moons ago" - proves we have LONG memories @DeerHunter. |
There's even an alternate version (not sure which came first, though):
