The First Zombie-Proof House
Attachment 240558 Attachment 240559 Somehow, ritual drunk-conversation concerning team captains for the apocalypse has become a major part of the lives of 20-somethings. Having been matured in the Grandaddy-crowned masterpiece film (put “A.M. 180” on and forget that you have a job) 28 Days Later and the best-selling Zombie Survival Guide, we’re all a little too ready to deal with the 2012 of our dreams. Attachment 240560 “The Safe House,” designed by KWK Promes, starts to get eerily close to something I could work with, if say 200 bludgeoned members of the undead army came over to eat their way into borrowing some sugar. Attachment 240561 “The most essential item for our clients was acquiring the feeling of maximum security,” begins the designers’ website in the summary of the structure. Who wouldn’t feel safe in a concrete rectangle that folds in upon itself to become completely sealed? Even the windows are covered with a slab of concrete when the structure is on nap time. Attachment 240562 The house, with its movable walls, has only one entrance, which is located on the second floor after crossing a drawbridge. Seems like the perfect opportunity to use a flamethrower and defend the life of your family, while stylishly nesting in a piece of architectural elitism. The 19-year-old men who turned themselves in as suspects in the "Gumby robbery" at a 7-Eleven store in San Diego may just have been trying to pull a practical joke. Police did not arrest the two men, identified as Jason Kiss, who wore the Gumby costume, and his friend Jason Giramma, who admitted being the getaway driver. The case will be sent to the San Diego County district attorney to decide whether the two should be charged criminally or whether the incident should be chalked up to a college-style prank. Kiss told a clerk at a 7-Eleven store in Rancho Penasquitos on Labor Day that he was robbing the store. The clerk initially thought the statement was a joke but felt otherwise when Gumby said he had a gun, although no gun was seen. The Gumby costume wearer fled only with loose change. The costume (above) was confiscated by police Tuesday. |
All I know is, when I see a Gumby walking toward me, I cross over to the other side of the street.

Seriously. Why? Why woulld you even attempt to ride on a road covered in ice. I mean I understand that the weather might have been different in the place you started at or when you started, but why not turn around or wait for it to get better or something? I'd walk my bike out of weather before trying to ride out.

Used to work with this guy:
Hes a stand up comic and would take almost any bet you'd throw his way. The best part is most of the wagers he'd dream up on his own. This was one of them.. |
What ever it is, its not fast.

^ It legitimately scares me to think that there are idiots out there with nothing but that stopping them on the road...

I've done that, it's about the same as an entire pot of coffee. Unfortunately I did it at work after already drinking a pot of liquid coffee, and had the jitters all day. Bet him to do the same with a spoonful of cinnamon. Can be half as big. |
Cinnamon does not compute with the human mouth.

Sick use of a V8 for all you LS Fanboys. I can't find any updates since last Feb, maybe their prototypes broke off the back of the transom and are lying at the bottom of the Atlantic.
