I feel like posting a few gratuitous photos of the UPS battery at work:
https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...fcf89091fa.png https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...c4df849b4e.png https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...5b9e6b6ac0.png They're configured in three strings (white, yellow, and red), for which in each string, every single battery of that color is wired in series. (People who understand how electricity works will appreciate the ramifications of this. What the voltage on that string? Hella volts.) I really don't know what the maximum runtime on the UPS is (several minutes at least), but it really only has to last long enough for this twin-turbo beauty to fire up: https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...c48f9dd114.png https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...e1d204010c.png The block heater on that engine draws 6kw. |

It's a 90s vintage Camaro with spray foam (eg: "Good-Stuff") shot into a rust hole in the rocker panel. https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...01dcaaa060.png What is this supposed to accomplish, other than trapping water in the area and accelerating the rusting process? |
It made the owner feel better.

Ha, I'm already at 7 :hatecat: .
Not a joke, I really did just buy a 2017 Camry. It's the XLE model (leather, powered heated seats, bluetooth / backup cam / XM, etc). It's not for me, though. Birthday gift for mom. She's getting on in years, but still works and still drives a hell of a lot. Her 2000 Camry Solara is about to hit 200,000 miles, and it's showing its age. Frankly, I worry about her driving it. And she can't really afford to buy herself a new car right now, and really loves that damn car, so I figured while I'm down in FL vising the family for Christmas, I might as well take care of that for her. I mean, did you guys notice the palm trees in the background? We don't have a lot of those in Chicago. Had my sister and niece distract her away from the house for a few hours, brought it home and stuck a tiny little bow on it: https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...16249f0b83.png Then quickly whipped up a cake while enjoying a couple of rather good brown ales from the local Cigar City brewery: https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...2b8c333b42.png When she came home, well, it was funny as hell. She didn't notice the bow, got extremely suspicious, and then damn near fainted when I handed her the key. Sobbed for nearly an hour. I think my sister got it all on video. So, anyway, keep up the :hatecat:, you heartless, mother-hating sons of bitches. :giggle: |

And while this is not true of all stations, at WGN, we actually get extremely good ratings on our local stuff, especially the mid-day which is nothing but cooking, stupid pet tricks, fashion, etc. |
|
why did you post that CR.net bs here?

Here's a joke: What's the hardest part of vaping? Telling your parents you're gay. Building a time machine to go back in time to when people like Jerry Falwell were still alive and thought being gay was actually a big deal. I need to post a picture so here's bananarama: https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com...641a931e93.jpg |
