A horse walks into a bar.
The bartender asks him "Why the long face?" Because horses cannot speak or understand spoken language, it does not respond. It looks around, decides that it does not like being in a bar after all, and then leaves. Unrelated: http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_9wSrhESvaN...In_The_Bar.jpg |

Thats odd. From what I understand most people are slapping them on with the pre-made basemap tunes that come with the manifold and they run great, just like stock.

the could have easily built some sort of rail system that would have caught the car if it had fallen...

Imagine the car weighed 2000 pounds and exerted 6gs on that rig they built. That's impressive! It didn't even think about moving!! |
I'm just sayin.

I mean they's just need two rails that travel alongside the car, then some sort of railing around the edge of the loop that if the car dropped, it would simply drop onto and slide down the rails.

I finally bought a proper tool box:
http://a5.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot..._3965805_n.jpg $80 for China-steel from Sears. You can only go through so many plastic boxes before you man up. It also barely fits in the Miata trunk. |

Who is this spiky-haired cockbag you guys keep posting videos up of? I refuse to watch them based on the obvious ability to take a 14" cucumber into his mouth. So what do you folks find interesting about that dude?

It's a bird!
It's a plane! It's the Mercatti Couron! Yes, offered up for sale by Florida resident (go figure) Mike Duff, for the paltry asking price of a mere $89,000.00, is this bone-stock 2002 Mercury Cougar with a V6, an automatic transmission, 126,000 miles and a Bugatti Veyron bodykit on it. Attachment 240859 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...00318682#v4-32 This is the nicest rebody car you will find at this time and look as hard as you like but you will not find another one that looks even close to this one. This car looks like a million dollars all day long. The paint job is base / clear, sanded and buffed to a show car shine. Ferrari red and black combo. The body is made of composite and fiberglass with a one inch tubular steel frame glassed into it. This one inch tube frame is welded to the donor car which makes the entire thing solid as a rock! This car is actually a 2002 mercury cougar two door sport coupe. The car has a nice reliable 2.5 L V6 motor and Ice cold AC. Its easy to maintain and cost affordable. I feel these are some of the most important things for sure. There are custom wheels and tires installed, 20 inch staggered. This car drives very smooth with the 20 inch wheels. I get so many questions asking how fast is the car. My best reply is fast enough. It is not a rocket ship, If you are a motor head you can install a larger motor, but I do not do that kind of work. This car is a stock 2002 mercury cougar, Stock wheel base, Stock motor and automatic transmission, Stock power windows and locks, stock wiring, stock guages, stock AC controls under these nice fancy looking aluminum trim parts. The seats are even modified stock cougar parts as well, Just everything has been recovered in a real leather, Leather seats, Leather headliner, Leather trim on the carpet, Leather Dash. Another nice bonus about this car is the rear seating area, Not large by any means, however if you have a kid or two, they will enjoy riding around in this beast. The rear seats fold down to expose a small storage area behind the seats. There is also another storage area in the very rear of the car. The exhaust exits through the large single tip which produces a nice tone. Check out the fit of the door windows to the body with the rubber molding, This factory look completes the package. Call with any questions, Or email is good also. Window shoppers please do not call and waste my time, Just enjoy the pictures and keep shopping! Attachment 240860This is a great car! Its fun to drive and turns heads more then you can imagine! I could even be a great daily driver. Serious inquiries please call my cell at .... 623-256-3648 |

My first car was a ford festiva. I was all about turboing it but I eventually wanted something more sporty (aka didnt have the body roll of the Titanic). My uncle has a handfull of Festys and one is a BP swap. Problem is he gets all these projects and can never quite finish them. I think the BP ran but now doesn't and just sits around. Hes always talking about his BP turbo project and I'm like "Yeah. I got one of those. It runs too"
My first car. It only cost $650 so I wasn't too kind to it. http://a2.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot...763_9229_n.jpg My uncle's daily driver. He got those wheels from me after I flipped my second car over. It was an 88 CRX. http://a6.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot..._5885571_n.jpg Said second car. http://a7.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot...730_5832_n.jpg |
Ah, CRX. I wish I'd never sold my 1991 CRX HF. Not fun to drive, but it's hard to argue with 45+ mpg.
|
Mine was an Si. I'm not sure if I was too much of a noob to know the difference but I loved the way it drove.
EDIT: Obligatory photo- me and the woman http://a3.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot..._1011150_n.jpg |
I've always wanted a festy because they're *THE* most unsuspecting shitbox ever, at least they were. Figured with a BP it'd be at least 1.5x quicker than it was with the stock 65bhp 1.3 liter and might get better fuel mileage. Obviously the turbo would sort of negate the fuel mileage deal.
Of course my primary idea was cut the rear subframe out and install one from a miata. Powerplant would be a turbocharged 1000cc bike motor, or maybe a turbo 954RR motor installed under the hood SiTune style. Uh? WTF is she doing with that rifle?? |
