No need to pull out either...she'll take care of any situations without questsion.

Joe Perez 07-05-2011 07:48 PM

She looks sort of almost exactly like an anglo version of Chell. I'm sure somebody has to have a picture of her in an orange jumpsuit.

I don't care if it's like tossing a hotdog down a hallway. I have an idealized image in my head which involves projecting a hot videogame character into real life, and it's quite probable that there's a photograph out there somewhere in which she is wearing a uniform that would be about 95% accurate relative to the in-game presentation. Short of somebody who looks like Samus or Princess Peach getting acquitted of murder, this is about as good as it gets down here in geekspace.

it was $45 kart till you puke. got in 5 sessions (like an hour of karting). that was a special independence day price. normally it's pretty expensive, $25-15 per session.

awesome karts though, none of that kiddie shit.

Braineack 07-06-2011 12:43 PM

was that at Summit Point?

next time you do that let me know.

soviet 07-06-2011 01:50 PM

Yeah, summit point. And I usually just wait for a good deal.

Braineack 07-06-2011 02:10 PM

That would be awesome! Best place around here for karting is Saddlers and its indoor. Nothing even remotely close to summit point, equally expensive though. :crx:

Looks like a Tial wastegate actuator.

I'm just guessing, based on the fact that it has the word "TIAL" written on it, and it looks like a wastegate actuator.

edit: Actually, it looks more like one of their fancy BOVs.

Oh.

I don't really keep up on that kind of shit. Didn't even realize the whole drowning-kids-lady thing was still going on until somebody posted the mugshot wherein I realized that she looked like Chell and became sexually aroused in a "sociopathic killer artificial intelligence / fuel line de-icer" sort of way.

To wit:

I honestly thought you missed it, sorry Joe. I'm sure someone will wonder what it is though.

Joe Perez 07-06-2011 06:45 PM

Hehe. It's current events that I have trouble with, especially the sort where one white chick did something stupid and got into trouble as a result. (eg: I have utterly no idea what Paris Hilton and her buddies are up to, nor would I be likely to notice if they were all killed to death by a chainsaw-wielding maniac in a dark alley in Tijuana.)

Jonestown was kind of a big deal by comparison. :D

What really blows my mind is that some of them are actually using a flywheel-based system:

I honestly did now know that any road car utilized such a technology. Interesting also that they have chosen to use a motor/generator combo to transfer energy between the flywheel and the drivetrain; it was in the flywheel-based units I saw earlier, the coupling was described as mechanical, using either a CVT or a differential to transfer energy between the two.

Seems like once you've gone to the trouble to install one motor/generator, it'd be far cleaner to hook it up to a bank of supercapacitors. Having fewer precisely machined, massively delicate, amazingly heavy and fast-moving parts is usually considered to be a Good Thing™.
