Ideally, smoking salmon is done at lower temperatures than a pellet-smoker is capable of reliably holding. I can get mine down to about 165-170°F, but that's the extreme lower limit. So the tray of ice and water is an attempt to let it stay in there a bit longer before reaching final temp.
I read the comments on most articles based on the title more than the actual txt. This was one case when I really had to question our humanity. The story was on yahoo and there were terrible comments about his death. Mostly because he was an outdoors and firearm advocate.

There have been psychological experiments where "normal" people administered lethal punishments to other volunteers at the behest of someone with perceived authority. That is without the additional dehumanization of the target. I recommend the book (or audiobook) "Influence" by Dr. Chaldini of Arizona State University for a host of reasons, including the discussion of that experiment.
Dehumanization of our fellow man should be loudly and vehemently opposed by all of us when we encounter it. Otherwise...

Interesting fact is that many German soldiers involved in the WWII executions committed suicide later in life, they could never come to terms with what they did and were ordered to do - humanity eventually prevailed.
We should also question what we'd have done in their position before judging them, they had little/no choice in their actions if they wanted to live and there would have been repercussions for their own family.
Unlike the Japanese, who'd had an entire generation of brainwashing before WWII that they were superior and others were no better than dogs, most Germans were proud of their country but weren't ALL ***** or believers in "The Master Race" (that last one always "got me", Hitler didn't meet "The Master Race" specification so how could he lead it or support it?).
Apologies if this post doesn't adhere to forum guidelines, but they are documented facts and NOT personal opinions.

Nice. We printed ours and also placed it between two blinded windows. Bambu FDM printers are too cheap to not have a few.
The hands aren't printed, they came with a $5 amazon clock kit. Bambu's $8 clock kit's arms were too short.
