EDIT: Which, now that I think about it, was also a plot-device on one of the first-season episodes of Battlestar Galactica. Starbuck was crashed on a planet with a non-breathable atmosphere and no radio, search teams were scouring the surface trying to locate her, and all the while there was a clock in CIC ticking down the minutes of her suit's estimated O2 supply. ... Dirk Benedict did it better, Katee's version was "Hollywood political correctness gone wrong", she looked ridiculous smoking a cigar (didn't mind her in The Mandalorian though). Katee said that during the photo shoot, Dirk Benedict, true to form, spent the whole time trying to chat her up! |

Now, that's interesting. Katee playing Starburk never struck be as being a PC-wag. I thought she did a hell of a job with the character, especially as they started delving deep into her background. Her mother, Zak (and, thus, the Old Man), Dreilide, her own self-identity after her death, etc. She played the damaged hotshot ace remarkably well. In Mando, I dunno... I find her character stiff and uninteresting. I chalk it up to shitty writing and direction. By comparison, literally every single thing about the original series was so goddamned hokey that, while enjoyable as bubblegum for the mind, not one single character in that show really struck me as being either well-written or well-acted. I don't fault Benedict for bad writing, just acknowledging that even Ian McKellen would not have stood out were he to have been cast in that series. https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...22814229d0.png |

I though Katee was very good in the Longmire series.
Several folks here have recommended shows to me which I've downloaded but still have not gotten around to watching. The only reason I'm stull suffering through Mando is that two good friends down in FL and I are slogging through it together as a matter of principle. (We also did Picard together, though that was actually a good show, particularly the third season.) https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...03f8c7a33c.png |
