I find the simplicity, and "form follows function" mindset to be refreshing, not to mention that the style inherently lends itself to the use of materials which are robust and long-lasting without much in the way of upkeep. Now, this isn't to say that I don't also appreciate Googie, and Avant-garde, and even Modernist / Mid-century Modern (especially with regard to interiors and furnishings), just that those styles all seem a bit overly-complicated in terms of construction, maintenance, and upkeep. https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...1c2f4b704e.png |
