On the UVB-76 thing, this is just utterly hilarious. Granted, I don't speak or read Russian or Ukranian, but if I'm reading the tea leaves correctly, we're currently watching a Ukrainian guy / group actively overpowering a Soviet-era military radio installation, in real time.
And that's just cool as hell.

I just find it oddly coincidental.
January: Ukranian pirates spam mysterious Russian radio station.
February: Russia invades Ukraine.
What does it all mean? Why are we here? How can a loving god cause so much misery? Where in the world IS Carmen Sandiego? Why is this kitten wearing a tiny paper hat?

Quick question:
PPF bolts are M12x1.50 (fine thread)
Would it have any adverse consequences if I were to use M12x1.75 (coarse thread) bolts to secure the PPF?
I will make custom "plugs" to accept the coarse thread, of course.
I just can't find fine thread bolts in this size.

The general rule of thumb is that you need 2x the thread size of engagement to obtain full strength. So, for a M12, you need 24mm of thread in the plug to obtain full pullout strength. Since these bolts are mostly loaded in shear, that's not really an issue.
Long story short, you should be fine with any bolt of equivalent size (12mm or 1/2"), regardless of thread pitch.

I think mil-spec says 1.5x bolt diameter is required for the amount of thread engaging into a hole so for purposes of this "plug" coarse or fine should be no problem.
