So today I did some ****..
Recently I dug out my G25 wheel. I hated using it because it has the tiny 11-12" wheel which i hate so few days ago i ordered an adapter and a wheel from ebay.
I just spent 5 hours on Forza Motorsport 7... i'm in love.
And I've still read about a lot of guys that have gone VR, only to go back to their triple monitor setup. Playseat's are trash, for a few hundred more just buy a TR80 setup from TrakRacer.
I haven't tried VR, but I recently upgraded my pedals to a loadcell brake and, holy ****! What a difference. Should have done it years ago. Fanatec FTW, BTW.
Here's some pics of my son's VR rig. It's amazingly realistic and immersive, but I can't take it for very long without getting nauseous. Must be some kind of old guy thing.
I've been looking at extruded aluminum but i cant find any decent prices on it. Suggestions?
Be less poor.
Hunt down a large mammal, such as a horse or a rioter. Kill it, strip the carcass, and use its bones and fibrous tissues instead of extruded aluminum.
Smash the window of Abe's Machine Shop & Beauty Supply (corner of 35th and Ashland) and take the aluminum. Keep an eye out for people following the advice immediately above.

^^ Basically this. I'm not sure of the exact source he ended up using, but I recall my son shopping the **** out of it online because prices were just ludicrous.

Trak Racer is the best I've found. I'm planning on doing their TR80 setup with the integrated triple monitor setup toward the end of the year when I start getting everything together. About $1200 shipped for all of it. There are a few places that sell plans
It's pricey, but not like other vendors or RSeat/Sparco and some others. It's worth it if you actually use it. The cheap stuff flexes and moves, so it loses fidelity. When you're chasing the pointy end in iRacing it makes difference.
If you're just playing ACC/Forza/Gran Turismo, then mount a crummy Logitech to your desk and move on.

If you, like most people here have a welder. Just do it that way. EZ button is a prebuilt seat. When I bought the only in stock option was the play seat. I wanted it in time for a lan party I hosted.
Good thing I have no lack of original cool pictures.
Here is a man cleaning the inside of a somewhat large transformer.
