Here's an example of what bugs me:

This is the wiring which makes it possible to temporarily connect the hotel battery to the drivetrain battery via a pushbutton, to start the engine (or generator) in an emergency discharge situation. The wiring is just kinda laid wherever, with no sleeving. It's like that all the way down through the chassis to the hotel battery 15 feet away. Wires rubbing against suspension components. Also of note, the spot where they drilled the hole to mount the relay bracket- they didn't bother sweeping away the metal shavings, or applying any sort of paint / sealant to the hole, so it's already started rusting.

Here's another one, potentially much more serious:

This is a shot from under the rig, looking up at the bottom of the freshwater tank. That piece of angle iron is butting against the bottom of the tank, and has already started to cut into it. Why is that piece even there? It prevents the black tank (lower) from sliding out of place. But it shouldn't extend all the way up to the fresh tank. I've recommended to my sister that they insist that be repaired was a warranty defect, and that the tank itself be replaced.

Simple **** like that annoys me. It wouldn't have cost must (in time and materials) to do both of those things right, but they chose not to.

I haven't even used this yet.

I already made them replace a tub they scratched up, a cabinet panel that came cracked, and reinstall a few things that were up to my standards -- but like how does one even do that installing a lid? install it holding a knife? How hard is it to just be careful especially when i keep calling **** out and making you redo stuff?

I haven't started watching Chernobyl yet.

On a more personal note, I finally figured out what happened to robots 31 and 32 last week. Hallelujah that we decided to hang a security camera in Studio 3 last year when we launched the live-audience Man of the People show.

I never thought that the first person it would catch would be one of our own employees.

In this video, we see Alfred R. Fuckbrain Jr. having a bad day, and taking his frustration out on two brand new camera bots. (And also the audience chairs, the floor, etc.) The key action happens between 0:35 and 0:41:

It doesn't look like much. But those robots were energized at the time, and tried like hell to maintain their position. Mr. Fuckbrain, sadly, overpowered them. This resulted in the stripping of the drive belts, which led to a whole cacophony of confusion which ultimately resulted in Studio 3 being down for three days while we:

  1. Figured out what the **** was wrong,
  2. Figured out how to repair it, and
  3. Went back to the instant replay to figure out what caused it.

Of course, Mr. Fuckbrain is union (IBEW 1220), and since I didn't have signs posted on the robots which specifically said "Do not forcibly turn these robots in the pan axis while they are energized" (because, you know, that should be as obvious as "Do not put your dick into a paper shredder" to anyone who works in this business), there is obviously no recourse.

I now have laminated signs posted on both sides of every robot warning against that specific thing. (The forcible turning thing, not the dick in a paper-shredder thing.)

Sometimes, there is an F1 car in your garage, for no obvious reason:

But not an Allied country, as called out in the heading.
