By the way, a Miata's windshield is about tire-level for half the cars on the road. No surprise it's a wear item.
This actually makes a lot of sense. I hadn't really thought about it, but there probably is a lot more ambient gravel and whatnot floating around the average highway at Miata-level than at higher elevations.

I say this because, when I tried to grow my hair out during the metal phase of late high-school / early college, that's pretty much what it turned into.
