Nice job. I just came up on my 3 year mark with mine. All I remember is "choose the best option:" and thinking, oh, I got this, then not seeing the option on the list. The questions were terrible, at least on mine.
Very much so. The new CAT format is tricky, too. They start you off with a question that they believe you will be 50/50 to answer correctly. Get it right, difficulty goes up. Get it wrong, difficulty goes down. It tries to keep you at a 50% change of getting each question right, and then at the end determines whether you passed based on both the percentage answered correctly, as well the overall difficulty level. At least it's not 250 questions anymore, it's only 100-150 (I passed at the minimum 100 questions).
But yes...eliminate one likely wrong answer, then pick the least wrong of the remaining three. Or wait, did I misread the question? Maybe the one I eliminated is actually the best answer...

Last week i was an automation and controls engineer. That's a nice job title change from "mechanic". I actually got a pay bump for working on and completing a project that i am normally responsible for jobbing out.
I actually designed, built, and wrote all the logic from the ground up. Learned everything myself, it was such a good feeling.
Comically, we hired a kid (same age as me) who had went to school for automation and electrical engineering. He was tasked with implementing some automation systems. Worked on stuff for about 6 months and made literally no progress. I'm almost positive he never got his PLCs hooked up to the laptop.
*Edit, yes. I am working with old, used, outdated equipment. We all have budgets.
We have a few of those running 500 around the building, and a few things running 5000. Ive pretty much forgot how to program one, we just ghost everything now lol.
sometime I wish I was this dumb and could float through life with my mom
My uncle and grandfather both call their wives mom. I think the answer I was given back in my youth was its easier that way then explaining to the young kids why "mommy" has two names, then it just became habit.
Took a couple of customers fishing today with the guide in Boca Grande. Caught some Snook that were only 27 1/2 in or less so we could not keep them. Caught plenty of keeper sea trout. Weather was great. Got a little sunburn on exposed areas beneath the hat just from light reflected off the water.
Spent spring break on the panhandle and did some surf fishing in front of our rental. Threw a cast net for the first time in 20+ years. Fishing with some minnows I caught (old salt called them glass minnows) that yielded a sea trout, way too many catfish and a skate. Also caught a rather large mullet in my cast net. But the was nothing compared to what the dolphins were bringing in. They were corralling mullet and driving them to the shore. I've seen this in video but never in person. It was quite impressive. They could care less about people on the shore and were coming into water that was only a few inches deep, spraying spectators and grabbing fish.
