I did the same (well, Google Images) and I don't get the "would never have guessed" unless you mean the specific man that those airplanes are all relevant to. It was, after all, an airshow.
It was a geek puzzle. A true plane geek would have know once you saw the Commander that it was about Bob and deduce that those planes were ones he either flew when in the Air Force or during air shows. And since that picture is pretty new and Bob stopped flying 15 years ago, even if you didn't know that he was dead, would assume "tribute" flight. In any case, this is a pic thread, and that pic is for certainly the greatest airshow pilot of all time, and maybe the best pilot ever to live.
I was thinking Rockwell, but then thought that Rockwell bought the Aero Commander product line or something and I was confusing it with that.
Wasn't there also a four-engine Sabreliner?
The Sabreliner was made by North American that became (was bought by?) Rockwell? I've heard it called by both companies. It utilized the same wing design of the F-86 SabreJet, although you couldn't just take one and bolt it to other as I've heard more than one person say.
I was in a T-39 over Alabama on a training flight when the towers fell on 9/11. Despite the "business jet" look, the thing was pretty sporty... been in a few barrel rolls in one.

I guess I'm sort of a true aero geek... but I cheated a little. I knew it had to be some sort of tribute flight involving Bob, and found the other image with search for "Bob Hoover Heritage flight". He was one hell of a pilot!
Knew the Sabreliner on sight though...

I think you're thinking of the Lockheed Jetstar...
Those are always mesmerizing, but you can see it leaves a ton of crud still in the ports, I wonder if it really saves time/effort over a hot tank/media blast.
^ They don't really tell you anything about the shotgun. I'll admit I'm no expert, but I'd be annoyed if I bought a new truck and the included gun wound up being some little 20 gauge break-action model.
"Ah man....This free shotguns the worst"
-No one ever
Humans have an amazing capacity for complaining about free stuff.
People living rent-free in NYCHA housing constantly complain about mold, roaches, rats, etc.
People standing in line to receive bread in the Soviet Union complained about how long the line for bread was.
Residents of Bhopal, India complained that "there's too much phosgene gas in this free air that we're breathing."
On so on...
(Poor people in NYC complaining about their free apartment. Only four of the nine children which this 36 year old woman has spawned are pictured in this photo.)
