It's a synthetic product designed to simulate aged wood. It's built in a style formally referred to as "nouveau-retro-bucolic." Turn of the century tenant farmer is the target look, I believe.

I think what you have there is a "swamp chestnut oak", sometimes called a "swamp white oak", or Quercus michauxii if you're fancy.
I finally got a set of cheap 15x9 for the track. SM7 fits good on it and it lets me upgrade from one of the narrower spare wheel sets I have (Helium in 6.5). I also have 15x8 6ul and some Rota Slipstream in 15x6.5 acquired with a parts car along the way. Time to free up some garage space.
