This "black privilege" thing is out of hand. Pretty soon they will be detaining white kids for listening to rap music and sentencing them to "Coldplay Camp".

I wonder when a white college student will confront a black professor / administrator and accuse them of cultural appropriation for wearing a necktie.

Because neckties, as everyone knows, were developed in Croatia in the 17th century, and quickly became the height of fashion in France during the reign of King Louis XIV.

...or pants, or shirts, or buttons, or zippers, or shoes, or underwear, or...

(PS - I'm black and I think that the whole "cultural appropriation" thing is total BS. People have been "stealing" ideas from each other since the beginning of time - get over yourself, you're not THAT important.)

Frankly, I find the whole notion that I, or anyone else, am expected to be of a certain mindset, or have a certain collection of opinions, or respect a certain sacred cow, simply on the basis of ethnicity, to be utterly absurd.

Take the current US presidential race, for instance. Apparently, people of hispanic / latino ethnicity are supposed to hate and fear Donald Trump on basis of the fact that he has a rather extremist opinion with regard to immigration policy, and hispanics make up the largest single immigrant group in the US.

Well, frankly I don't give a shit. I personally think Trump is the least unqualified candidate presently standing. And as you may infer from my name, I'm hispanic. First of the clan to be born on the US mainland. As in "my family literally came to the US on a boat in the 1960s."

Legally, I might add.

And I don't find it in the least bit offensive when I see a person of non-Cuban ancestry drinking a Mojito or wearing a guayabera. They're delicious and comfortable, respectively, and I see no reason why we should keep them all to ourselves.

I suddenly have a very strong nostalgic hankering for Panadería La Viña. We used to visit this place all the time when I was a kid. It was just a few blocks from the house, cheap as hell, and they had the most delicious... everything.

I don't speak any Spanish but I had lunch at a place where nobody spoke much English. I ate puerco asado y arroz moro and nobody gave me any crap about being outside my own culture. I don't care about people's political philosophies as long as they aren't Thought Police. That is a problem. Don't screw with my freedom.

I mean, what's next? Soul food restaurants in Harlem gonna refuse to serve me because my skin is too light?

https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1459377511

Or Seoul Food restaurants, because my eyes are too round?

Doubtful.

That's the kind of shit that only happens outside of the real world. In places where things like "commerce" are irrelevant.

@shuiend new side business for you:

Booth took the snake to Jacksonville on Wednesday and gave it to a man who runs a muffler shop and also makes things from snake skin.
