my dad had a "SLAC Bubble Chamber" sticker on his toolbox from maybe before I was born. I have touched the copper segmented tube of a linear accelerator at Stanford and stood about one melted chocolate bar away from a Klystron at same. They have some Big Motherfucking Doors there. |
